Project description:The title compound, [CuCl(2)(C(18)H(18)N(8))]·2CH(3)OH·H(2)O, contains a penta-coordinated Cu(II) atom bonded to the tridentate 4,6-bis-[(E)-1-methyl-2-(pyridin-2-yl-methyl-idene)hydrazin-yl]pyrimidine ligand and two Cl atoms. The geometry around the Cu(II) atom is distorted square-pyramidal. The mol-ecules pack in the crystal structure via O-H?Cl, O-H?N, C-H?Cl and C-H?O hydrogen bonds, C-H?? and ?-? inter-actions [centroid-centroid distances of the pyrimidine-pyridine and pyridine-pyridine inter-actions are 3.750?(3) and 3.850?(3)?Å, respectively], forming sheet-like assemblies.

Project description:The title compound, [Ni(C13H11N4S2)2], was obtained by the reaction of S-2-picolyldi-thio-carbazate and pyridine-2-carbaldehyde with nickel(II) acetate. The Ni(II) atom is located on a twofold rotation axis and is bonded to four N atoms at distances of 2.037 (8) and 2.109 (9) Å, and to two S atoms at a distance of 2.406 (3) Å, leading to a distorted octa-hedral coordination. The angle between the mean planes of the coordinating moieties of the two symmetry-related tridentate ligands is 83.3 (2)°. In the crystal, complex mol-ecules are linked by weak C-H⋯S hydrogen bonds, π-π inter-actions between the pyridine rings [centroid-centroid distance = 3.775 (9) Å] and C-H⋯π inter-actions. The hydrogen-bonding inter-actions lead to the formation of layers parallel to (010); π-π inter-actions link these layers into a three-dimensional network.

Project description:In the title complex, [Cu(C13H10N3O)2] n , the copper(II) cation is located on a crystallographic inversion centre and adopts an elongated octa-hedral coordination geometry with the equatorial plane provided by trans-arranged bis-N,O-chelating acyl-hydrazine groups from two ligands and the apices by the N atoms of two pyridine rings belonging to symmetry-related ligands. The ligand adopts a Z conformation about the C=N double bond. The dihedral angle between the pyridine and phenyl rings is 2.99 (13)°. An intra-ligand C-H⋯N hydrogen bond is observed. In the crystal, each ligand bridges two adjacent metal ions, forming a (4,4) grid layered structure. π-π stacking inter-actions [centroid-centroid distances in the range 3.569 (4)-3.584 (9) Å] involving rings of adjacent layers result in the formation of a three-dimensional supra-molecular network.

Project description:The complete mol-ecule of the title compound, [Cd(C(6)H(12)NOS(2))(2)(C(12)H(10)N(4))(2)], is generated by crystallographic inversion symmetry. The distorted octa-hedral trans-N(2)S(4) donor set for the Cd(2+) ion is defined by two symmetrically S,S'-chelating dithio-carbamate anions and two pyridine N atoms derived from two monodentate 4-pyridine-aldazine (or 4-{[(pyridin-4-yl-methyl-idene)hydrazinyl-idene}meth-yl]pyridine) mol-ecules [dihedral angle between the aromatic rings = 17.33 (8)°]. In the crystal, mol-ecules are connected into a supra-molecular chain via O-H⋯N hydrogen bonds involving the 4-pyridine-aldazine N atoms not involved in coordination to cadmium. Weak C-H⋯O and C-H⋯N links consolidate the packing.

Project description:In the centrosymmetric binuclear title compound, [Cu(2)Br(2)(C(12)H(10)N(5)S)(2)]·2CH(3)OH, the Cu(II) ion adopts a slightly dis-torted square-pyramidal coordination geometry. The hydrazine carbothio-amide moiety and one of the pyridyl rings together adopt an almost planar arrangement, with a maximum deviation of 0.052?(4)?Å for the C atom of the thio-urea moiety. There are two mol-ecules of methanol solvent per complex in the asymmetric unit. The nonconventional intra-molecular C-H?Br hydrogen bonds make the mol-ecule more rigid, whereas the conventional N-H?N and O-H?Br inter-molecular hydrogen-bonding inter-actions, supported with N-H?? inter-actions, establish a supra-molecular linkage among the mol-ecules in the crystal. An intermolecular C-H?O inter-action is also present.

Project description:The asymmetric unit of the title compound, [Ni(C(15)H(14)N(3)S(2))(2)], consists of two independent mol-ecules with similar configurations. Each Ni(2+) cation is coordinated in a cis-mode by two tridentate N,N',S-chelating Schiff base ligands, creating a distorted octa-hedron [the smallest angle being 77.57?(7)° and the widest being 168.97?(7)° for one mol-ecule, and 78.04?(7) and 167.55?(7)° for the second mol-ecule]. The dihedral angle between the mean coordination planes of the two ligands is 86.76?(7)° for one and 89.99?(7)° for the second mol-ecule. ?-? inter-actions between neighbouring pyridine rings with plane-to-plane distances of 3.540?(1) and 3.704?(1)?Å are observed.

The centroid-centroid separation of 3.5808 (17) Å indicates the existence of π-π stacking between nearly parallel pyrimidine and benzene rings of adjacent mol-ecules.

Project description:In the title compound, C(7)H(14)N(6), the amine groups of the two methyl-hydrazino substituents are orientated in the opposite direction to the methyl substituent at the 2-position of the pyrimidine ring. The mol-ecule is almost planar with only the two amine N atoms lying substanti-ally out of the mean plane of the pyrimidine ring [by 0.1430?(2) and 0.3092?(2)?Å]. The H atoms on these amine groups point inwards towards the aromatic ring, such that the lone pair of electrons points outwards from the mol-ecule. Each mol-ecule is linked to two others through N-H?N hydrogen bonds between the two amino groups, forming a one-dimensional chain in the [010] direction. Offset face-to-face ?-? stacking inter-actions between the pyrimidine rings organize these chains into a two-dimensional array [centroid-centroid distance = 3.789?(2)?Å].
