4,6-Bis(diphenyl-phosphan-yl)dibenzo[b,d]furan.

ABSTRACT: The asymmetric unit of the title compound, C(36)H(26)OP(2), comprises two mol-ecules which have slightly different conformations of the phenyl ring substituents. In both mol-ecules, the dibenzofuran unit is close to being planar, with dihedral angles of 3.20 (3) and 1.86 (2)° for the two mol-ecules. Its planarity affects the intra-molecular distances between P atoms, with P⋯P distances of 5.574 (2) and 5.485 (2) Å for the two mol-ecules.

Positions 2 and 8 on the xanthene backbone are functionalized with methyl groups to allow for the selective functionalization of the backbone at positions 4 and 6 with diphenyl-phosphanyl units. The title compound shows a significant 'roof-like' bending along the axis of planarity involving the O- and S-donor atoms and the benzene rings, resulting in a dihedral angle between the mean planes of the benzene rings of 32.88 (13)°.

Project description:In the title compound, [Pt(NO(3))(2)(C(42)H(42)O(2)P(4))(2)]·4CH(3)OH, the Pt atom positioned on a crystallographic centre of inversion. The two symmetry-equivalent nitrate anions are weakly coordinated to the Pt(II) ion, creating, together with four P ligand atoms, a distorted octa-hedral coordination environment. In addition, several close C-H⋯O contacts between the nitrate O atoms and phenyl H atoms are found. Hydrogen bonds from two methanol solvent mol-ecules to one of the O-P groups complete the crystal structure.

Project description:In the title compound, C(28)H(27)NP(2), the N atom adopts an almost planar geometry with the two P atoms and the C atom attached to it, with a distance of 0.066 (2) Å between the N atom and the C/P/P plane. The distorted trigonal-pyramidal geometry of the N atom is further illustrated by bond angles ranging between 115.22 (11) and 123.53 (8)°. Bond angles varying from 99.99 (9) to 108.07 (9) ° are indicative of the distorted pyramidal environment around the P atoms. An intra-molecular C-H⋯P hydrogen bond occurs. Project description:In the title compound, C(31)H(27)NP(2), the diphenyl-phosphanyl groups are staggered relative to the PNP backbone. The N atom is displaced by 0.219 (2) Å from the plane formed by the two P atoms and the methylene C atom. The angles around the N atom are 120.84 (16), 113.29 (16) and 120.57 (12)°, indicating that it exhibits a distorted trigonal-pyramidal geometry. There are no classical inter-molecular inter-actions.

Project description:The mol-ecular structure of the title compound, trans-[Cu(C2H)Cl(C26H24P2)2], consists of an Ru(II) cation, located on an inversion centre, in an octa-hedral environment defined by two chelating phosphines, one acetyl-ide and one chloride ligand. The -C CH and the chlorine ligands are disordered over two equivalent positions (0.5 occupancy each). The coordination geometry is distorted octa-hedral, with the -C CH fragment and the Cl ligand in trans positions. The four P atoms occupy the equatorial plane of the octa-hedron and the chloride and acetyl-ide ligands the axial positions.

Project description:The title complex, [Au(2)Cl(2)(C(26)H(21)NP(2))], has an intra-molecular Au⋯Au inter-action of 3.1669 (4) Å, but no inter-molecular Au⋯Au inter-actions in the solid state. The Cl-Au-P bond angle of 176.84 (7)° is slightly distorted from linearity. The P-C bond length to the phenyl group is shorter [1.810 (7) Å] than the P-C bond length [1.876 (7) Å] to the bridging carbon, indicative of the flexibility of the bidentate bite of the ligand. The C-C N fragment is essentially linear at 179.5 (9)° and the C N bond length of 1.125 (11) Å indicates predominantly triple-bond character. In the crystal packing, there are no hydrogen-bonding or aurophilic inter-actions between the mol-ecules.

Project description:The coordination around the N atom in the title compound, C(29)H(29)NP(2), shows an almost planar geometry, defined by the attached P and C atoms, in order to accomodate the steric bulk of the phenyl rings. The distortion of the trigonal-pyramidal geometry of the N atom is illustrated by the bond angles ranging between 115.22 (12) and 121.76 (9)°. The P atoms present a pyramidal environment with bond angles ranging from 100.62 (9) to 104.71 (8)°. One of the C atoms in the cyclo-pentyl ring displays a 0.822 (4):0.178 (4) positional disorder. Within the crystal structure, intra-molecular C-H⋯P hydrogen bonds together with inter- and intra-molecular C-H⋯π inter-actions link the mol-ecules into a supra-molecular two-dimensional network.
