ABSTRACT: The title compound, [PtCl(2)(C(31)H(32)NP)], is a Pt(II) complex with an NPCl(2) coordination sphere in which the Pt(II) atom is coordinated to the imino N and phosphane P atoms of the ligand and to two cis Cl ions, giving a slightly distorted square-planar geometry. The P-Pt-N angle is 89.80 (5)° and the corresponding angle between the Cl ions is 87.92 (2)°.

Project description:In the title compound, [RuCl(C18H15P)(C26H31N2OP)](CF3O3S)·2C3H6O, the Ru(II) ion is coordinated in a three-legged piano stool, half-sandwich-type geometry by a chlorido ligand, a tri-phenyl-phosphine and a tethered η(6)-(phenyl-p-O-meth-oxy) κ(1)-P N-di-phenyl-phosphino N'-diisopropyl amidine ligand charge-balanced by a trifluormethansulfonate counter-anion. The η(6)-coordination mode of the arene incorporated into the structure was generated in situ after addition of methyl tri-fluoro-methane-sulfonate to the neutral η(5)-arene tethered precursor complex [RuCl(PPh3)(η(5):κ(1)-OC6H4C(NiPr2)=N-PPh2)] in di-chloro-methane solution.

Project description:The Pt(II) ion in the title complex, [PtCl(2)(C(14)H(10)N(4))], is four-coordinated in a distorted square-planar environment by two N atoms of a chelating 2,3-di-2-pyridyl-pyrazine ligand and two chloride anions. The pyridyl ring coordinated to the Pt(II) atom is inclined slightly to its carrier pyrazine ring [dihedral angle = 13.5?(1)°], whereas the uncoordinated pyridyl ring is inclined considerably to the pyrazine ring [dihedral angle = 54.3?(2)°]. The dihedral angle between the two pyridyl rings is 59.2?(2)°. In the crystal, the complexes are assembled through inter-molecular C-H?N and C-H?Cl hydrogen bonds, forming a three-dimensional network. Intra-molecular C-H?N and C-H?Cl hydrogen bonds are also present.

Project description:In the title compound, trans-[PtCl(2)(C(7)H(9)N)(2)], the Pt(II) atom is located on an inversion center and is coordinated by two 3,4-dimethyl-pyridine ligands and two chloride ligands, resulting in a typical slightly distorted square-planar geometry. The crystallographic inversion centre forces the value of the C-N-N-C torsion angle to be linear and the 3,4-dimethyl-pyridine ligands to be coplanar.

N6-benzyladenosine derivatives as novel N-donor ligands of platinum(II) dichlorido complexes.

Project description:The platinum(II) complexes trans-[PtCl?(Ln)?]?xSolv 1-13 (Solv = H?O or CH3OH), involving N6-benzyladenosine-based N-donor ligands, were synthesized; L(n) stands for N6-(2-methoxybenzyl)adenosine (L?, involved in complex 1), N6-(4-methoxy-benzyl)adenosine (L?, 2), N6-(2-chlorobenzyl)adenosine (L?, 3), N6-(4-chlorobenzyl)-adenosine (L?, 4), N6-(2-hydroxybenzyl)adenosine (L?, 5), N6-(3-hydroxybenzyl)-adenosine (L?, 6), N6-(2-hydroxy-3-methoxybenzyl)adenosine (L?, 7), N6-(4-fluoro-benzyl)adenosine (L?, 8), N6-(4-methylbenzyl)adenosine (L?, 9), 2-chloro-N6-(3-hydroxy-benzyl)adenosine (L??, 10), 2-chloro-N6-(4-hydroxybenzyl)adenosine (L??, 11), 2-chloro-N6-(2-hydroxy-3-methoxybenzyl)adenosine (L??, 12) and 2-chloro-N6-(2-hydroxy-5-methylbenzyl)adenosine (L??, 13). The compounds were characterized by elemental analysis, mass spectrometry, IR and multinuclear (¹H-, ¹³C-, ¹??Pt- and ¹?N-) and two-dimensional NMR spectroscopy, which proved the N7-coordination mode of the appropriate N6-benzyladenosine derivative and trans-geometry of the title complexes. The complexes 1-13 were found to be non-toxic in vitro against two selected human cancer cell lines (HOS and MCF7; with IC?? > 50.0 µM). However, they were found (by ESI-MS study) to be able to interact with the physiological levels of the sulfur-containing biogenic biomolecule L-methionine by a relatively simple 1:1 exchange mechanism (one L(n) molecule was replaced by one L-methionine molecule), thus forming a mixed-nitrogen/sulfur-ligand dichlorido-platinum(II) coordination species.

Project description:In the title compound, [PdCl2(C17H28N2)], the Pd(II) atom displays a square-planar coordination involving two N atoms of a 2,6-diisopropyl-N-[(S)-pyrrolidin-2-ylmeth-yl]aniline ligand and two chloride ligands, with a deviation of 0.090?(1)?Å for the Pd(II) atom from the best plane. The absolute configuration of the chiral C atom of the pyrrolidine ring is S, which induces R configurations at the two N atoms of the aniline ligand. Optical isomerism arising from the chelate five-membered ring is configured as ?. The Pd-N bond lengths are 2.040?(3) and 2.072?(2)?Å, and the Pd-Cl bond lengths are 2.3055?(8) and 2.3160?(8)?Å. In the crystal, pairs of N-H?Cl hydrogen bonds link mol-ecules into discrete dimers.

Project description:The title compound, [PdCl(2)(C(23)H(23)NO)]·CH(3)OH, was obtained by the reaction of 1-(2,6-dimethyl-phenyl-imino)-1,2-diphenyl-propan-2-ol and palladium chloride in methanol. The Pd atom is four-coordinated by the O atom of a tertiary alcohol, the imine N atom of the hy-droxy-limine part of the bidentate ligand and by two chloride ions, forming a nearly square-planar geometry. The complex mol-ecule and the uncoordinated methanol mol-ecule are connected via an O-H?O hydrogen bond.

Project description:The title complex, [PtCl(2)(C(18)H(40)P(2))], contains a Pt(II) center in an approximately square-planar geometry [cis angle range = 88.09?(3)-91.39?(3)°; twist angle = 1.19?(5)°]. The Pt-P bond lengths of 2.2536?(8) and 2.2513?(8)?Å and the Pt-Cl bond lengths of 2.3750?(8) and 2.3588?(8)?Å are normal. This crystal form is a polymorph of a structure reported previously [Harada, Kai, Yasuoka & Kasai (1976 ?). Bull. Chem. Soc. Jpn, 49, 3472-3477].
