In the crystal, N-H⋯Br and weak C-H⋯Br hydrogen bonds link the cations and anions, forming chains of alternating R 2 (1)(7) and R 4 (2)(8) rings, which run parallel to the c-axis direction. The crystal studied was an inversion twin with components in a 0.753 (12):0.247 (12) ratio.

Project description:In the title mol-ecular salt, C(4)H(10)NO(+)·C(4)H(5)O(6) (-), the morpholinium cation adopts a chair conformation. The conformation of the C-C-C-C backbone of the monotartrate anion is close to anti [torsion angle = 173.18 (17)°], which is supported by two intra-molecular O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds. In the crystal, the components are linked by N-H-O and O-H-O hydrogen bonds, generating (001) sheets.

Project description:In the anhydrous salt formed from the reaction of morpholine with cinnamic acid, C4H10NO(+)·C9H7O2 (-), the acid side chain in the trans-cinnamate anion is significantly rotated out of the benzene plane [C-C-C- C torsion angle = 158.54?(17)°]. In the crystal, one of the the aminium H atoms is involved in an asymmetric three-centre cation-anion N-H?(O,O') R 1 (2)(4) hydrogen-bonding inter-action with the two carboxyl-ate O-atom acceptors of the anion. The second aminium-H atom forms an inter-species N-H?Ocarboxyl-ate hydrogen bond. The result of the hydrogen bonding is the formation of a chain structure extending along [100]. Chains are linked by C-H?O inter-actions, forming a supra-molecular layer parallel to (01-1).

Project description:The title compound, (C(2)H(8)N)(C(5)H(12)NO)[ZnCl(4)], was synthesized by hydro-thermal reaction of ZnCl(2) with 4-methyl-morpholine in a dimethyl-formamide solution. The asymmetric unit is composed of half a [ZnCl(4)](2-) anion, half a 4-methyl-morpholin-4-ium cation and half a dimethyl-ammonium cation, all located on mirror planes parallel to ac. All the amine H atoms are involved in inter-molecular N-H⋯Cl hydrogen bonds, building up an infinite chain parallel to the c axis.
