ABSTRACT: In the mononuclear title compound, [Ni(C(10)H(9)N(4)O(2)S)(2)(C(12)H(8)N(2))], the Ni(II) atom has a distorted octa-hedral coordination geometry comprising four N atoms from two 4-amino-N-(pyrimidin-2-yl)benzene-sulfonamidate ligands and two N atoms from a 1,10-phenanthroline ligand. In the crystal, mol-ecules are connected into a three-dimensional supra-molecular network via N-H?O hydrogen bonds and weak C-H?O and C-H?N contacts.

Project description:The asymmetric unit of [La(C20H21N3O3PS)3(C12H8N2)] is created by one LaIII ion, three deprotonated N-{bis-[meth-yl(phen-yl)amino]-phosphor-yl}benzene-sulfonamidate (L-) ligands and one 1,10-phenanthroline (Phen) mol-ecule. Each LaIII ion is eight-coordinated (6O+2N) by three phosphoryl O atoms, three sulfonyl O atoms of three L- ligands and two N atoms of the chelating Phen ligand, leading to the formation of six- and five-membered metallacycles, respectively. The lanthanum coordination polyhedron has a bicapped trigonal-prismatic geometry. 'Sandwich-like' intra-molecular ?-? stacking inter-actions are observed between the 1,10-phenanthroline ligand and two benzene rings of two different L- ligands. The phenyl rings of L- that are not involved in the stacking inter-actions show minor positional disorder. Mol-ecules form layers parallel to the (010) plane due to weak C-H?O inter-molecular hydrogen bonds. Unidentified highly disordered solvate mol-ecules that occupy ca 400?Å3 large voids have been omitted from the refinement model.

The Co(II) atom is coordinated in a slightly distorted octa-hedral geometry by four N atoms from two bidentate 4-amino-N-(pyrimidin-2-yl)benzene-sulfonamidate (sulfadiazine) anions and two O atoms from two dimethyl-formamide (DMF) ligands. The dihedral angle between the benzene and pyrimidine rings is 82.37?(13)°. A three-dimensional network is generated by N-H?O hydrogen bonds between the amino groups and of the sulfonamidate O atoms of neighbouring mol-ecules. The DMF ligand is disordered over two sets of sites in a 0.559?(4):0.441?(4) ratio.

Project description:The complete mol-ecule of the title complex, [Hg(C11H11N4O2S)2(C10H8N2)], is generated by crystallographic twofold symmetry, with the mercury cation lying on the rotation axis. The mercury coordination polyhedron can be described as tetra-hedral (from the N,N'-bidenate bi-pyridine mol-ecule and the sulfonamide N atoms of the sulfamerazine anions) or as squashed trigonal-prismatic, if two long (> 2.80 Å) Hg-N bonds to pyrimidine N atoms are included. The dihedral angle between the aromatic rings in the anion is 73.3 (2)°. In the crystal, N-H⋯(N,O) and N-H⋯N hydrogen bonds link the mol-ecules into a three-dimensional network.

Project description:The cubic crystal structure of the title compound, [NaNd(C(14)H(21)N(3)O(5)PS)(4)](n), is composed of one-dimensional polymeric chains propagating in [100], built up from [Nd(C(14)H(21)N(3)O(5)PS)(4)](-) anions and sodium cations functioning as linkers. In the complex anion, the Nd(3+) ion has an eightfold coordination environment formed by the sulfonyl and phosphoryl O atoms of four bidentate chelating N-(dimorpholinophosphor-yl)benzene-sulfonamidate ligands: the resulting NdO(8) polyhedron can be described as inter-mediate between dodeca-hedral and square anti-prismatic. The sodium ion adopts an NaO(4) tetra-hedral geometry arising from four monodentate benzene-sulfonamidate ligands. The resulting crystal structure is unusual because it contains substantial voids (800?Å(3) per unit cell), within which there is no evidence of included solvent.

A short Cd?N contact [2.890?(3)?Å] to the monodentate sulfadiazinate ion also occurs. The dihedral angles between the planes of the aromatic rings of the anions are 86.81?(14) and 68.65?(14)°. The crystal structure features inter-molecular N-H?O, O-H?O and O-H?N hydrogen bonds.

Project description:In the title compound, [Cd(C(10)H(9)N(4)O(2)S)(2)(C(12)H(12)N(2))]·2C(3)H(7)NO, the Cd(II) ion lies on a twofold rotation axis, is six-coordinated by N atoms, and displays a trigonal-prismatic geometry arising from the two sulfadiazinate ligands and one 4,4'-dimethyl-2,2'-bipyridine ligand. Both ligands are bidentate and coordinate via their N atoms. The O and carbonyl C atoms of the dimethyl-formamide mol-ecule show disorder and were modelled with two different orientations and with site occupancies of 0.584?(10):0.416?(10). The geometry around the sulfadiazine S atom is distorted tetra-hedral. The crystal structure involves N-H?O hydrogen bonds which link mol-ecules into a three-dimensional network. Weak C-H?O hydrogen bonds are also observed.

Project description:The title compound, [Ni(C(12)H(8)N(2))(3)](2)[Ag(CN)(2)](3)(NO(3))·4.2H(2)O, crystallizes with two independent [Ni(phen)(3)](2+) cations (phen is 1,10-phenanthroline; both Ni atoms have threefold symmetry and N(6) donor sets), three near-linear [Ag(CN)(2)](-) anions, one nitrate anion (N site symmetry 3) and 4.2 water mol-ecules of crystallization, some of which are disordered. The [Ag(CN)(2)](-) anions are situated within cavities created by the phenanthroline ligands of adjacent [Ni(phen)(3)](2+) cations. Some short C-H⋯O and C-H⋯N inter-actions may help to establish the packing.
