Project description:In the title compound, C(13)H(10)ClN(3)O(3), prepared by the reaction of 1-chloro-3-isocyanato-benzene with 4-nitro-benzenamine, the two substituent benzene rings are roughly coplanar [inter-ring dihedral angle = 8.70?(7)°]. In the crystal, mol-ecules make cyclic inter-molecular associations through two urea-nitro N-H?O hydrogen bonds, forming a chain structure [give chain direction] in which there are also weak inter-molecular C-H?Cl inter-actions. The urea O atom has only intra-molecular aromatic ring C-H?O associations.

Project description:The asymmetric unit of the title compound, C(13)H(10)F(2)N(2)O, contains one and a half N,N'-bis-(4-fluoro-phen-yl)urea mol-ecules. One of the mol-ecules has crystallographic twofold rotation symmetry. The benzene rings are twisted from each other by dihedral angles of 29.69?(6)° for the mol-ecule in a general position and 89.83?(6)° for the symmetry-generated mol-ecule. In the crystal structure, a pair of inter-molecular N-H?O hydrogen bonds link symmetry-related mol-ecules into chains along the b axis, forming R(2) (1)(6) ring motifs.

The mol-ecular conformation is stabilized by intra-molecular N-H⋯O and C-H⋯S hydrogen bonds. The acetone solvent mol-ecule possesses a crystallographically imposed twofold axis. In the crystal packing, thio-urea mol-ecules are linked by inter-molecular C-H⋯O hydrogen-bond inter-actions to form chains running parallel to the c axis. The chains are further bridged via N-H⋯O and C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds involving the acetone mol-ecules.

Project description:The title compound, C(13)H(11)N(3)O(2)S, was prepared by reaction of 2-nitro-benzenamine, KOH and 1-isothio-cyanato-benzene in an ethanol solution at room temperature. The dihedral angles formed between the thiourea plane and the phenyl rings are 61.9 and 31.0°. The dihedral angle between the two phenyl rings is 78.1°. In the crystal structure, there are weak inter-molecular N-H⋯S and C-H⋯S hydrogen-bonding inter-actions.

Project description:The title compound, C(14)H(10)BrN(3)O(3)S, crystallizes as two concomitant polymorphs that differ in colour (one yellow and one colourless). Only the structure of the colourless form could be determined. The mol-ecule exists in the thio-amide form with an intra-molecular N-H?O=C hydrogen bond across the thio-urea system. Mol-ecules are linked into layers parallel to (120) by Br?O(nitro) contacts [3.103?(1)?Å], classical hydrogen bonds from the other NH function to the S atom and N(nitro)?O=C contacts. The layers are linked by weak C-H?O(nitro) hydrogen bonds to produce the observed three-dimensional network.
