Poly[dibutyl-ammonium [nonamethylbis-(?(3)-sulfato-?(3)O:O':O'')tristannate(IV)]].

ABSTRACT: In the structure of the title coordination polymer, {(C(8)H(20)N)[Sn(3)(CH(3))(9)(SO(4))(2)]}(n), each of the three Sn(IV) atoms is coordinated in a trigonal-bipyramidal manner by three methyl groups in the equatorial plane and by two O atoms of SO(4) (2-) anions in the axial positions. The ?(3)-bridging mode of the sulfate anions leads to the formation of corrugated anionic layers parallel to (100). The uncoordinating O atom of one of the two SO(4) (2-) anions is N-H?O hydrogen-bonded to the dibutyl-ammonium cation inter-connecting the anionic sheets. The structure is partially disordered. The dibutyl ammonium ion is found on two positions with an occupancy ratio of 0.525?(10):0.475?(10), and one sulfate group with three connecting trimethyl stannyl groups is also positionally disordered over two sets of sites with an occupancy ratio of 0.725?(4):0.275?(4).

Project description:In the structure of the title coordination polymer, {(C16H36N)[Sn2(CH3)6Cl(SO4)]} n , the two independent Sn(IV) atoms are coordinated in a trigonal-bipyramidal manner by three methyl groups in the equatorial plane and in the axial positions by either two O atoms of bridging SO4 (2-) anions or by a Cl atom and one O atom of a bridging SO4 (2-) anion, respectively. The [Sn2(CH3)6Cl(SO4)](-) anion forms an infinite zigzag chain parallel to the c axis. The cations are situated between these chains. Two of the four butyl groups of the cation are partially disordered over two sets of sites with site occupancies of 0.79 (2):0.21 (2) and 0.75 (2):0.25 (2), respectively. Weak C-H⋯O hydrogen-bonding inter-actions help to consolidate the crystal packing.

Project description:The title compound, {[Ni(SO4)(C6H16N2)(H2O)2]·H2O} n , contains a Ni(II) atom that is coordinated nearly octa-hedrally by a chelating tetra-ethyl-enediamine (tmeda) ligand, two water mol-ecules in a cis arrangement and two O atoms of two sulfate anions in a trans arrangement. The sulfate anions act as μ2-bridging ligands leading to a chain structure of alternating NiO4N2 octa-hedra and SO4 tetra-hedra parallel to [001]. The polymeric chains are linked by O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds between coordinating water mol-ecules and sulfate anions to give double strands. There is a lattice water mol-ecule which is also involved in O-H⋯O hydrogen bonding between adjacent [Ni(SO4)(tmeda)(H2O)2] chains.

Project description:In the title compound, [Co2(SO4)2(C10H8N2)2(C2H6O2)2(H2O)2] n , there are two crystallographically independent Co(II) ions, each of which lies on a twofold rotation axis and has a slightly distorted octa-hedral environment. One Co(II) ion is coordinated by two N atoms from two bridging 4,4'-bipyridine (4,4'-bipy) ligands, two O atoms from two sulfate ions and two O atoms from aqua ligands. The second Co(II) ion is similar but with ethane-1,2-diol ligands in place of water mol-ecules. The sulfate anions act as bridging ligands to link two adjacent Co(II) ions together, leading to the formation of linear ⋯Co1Co2Co1Co2⋯chains along the a axis. Adjacent chains are further bridged by 4,4'-bipy ligands, which are also located on the twofold rotation axis, resulting in a two-dimensional layered polymer extending parallel to (001). In the crystal, the layers are linked by extensive O-H⋯O hydrogen-bonding inter-actions involving the O atoms of the water mol-ecules and ethane-1,2-diol mol-ecules, resulting in a three-dimensional supra-molecular network.

Project description:The title compound, [Li(2)(SO(4))(C(3)H(7)NO(2))(H(2)O)](n), is a coordination polymer in which the β-alanine residues remain in the zwitterionic form. The crystal structure consists of corrugated sheets of [LiO(4)] and [SO(4)] tetra-hedra parallel to (010) with the β-alanine mol-ecules located between the sheets. The two independent Li(+) cations are four-coordinated by O atoms in a distorted tetra-hedral geometry. The crystal structure is formed by stacking of alternate organic and inorganic layers along the a axis. The crystal structure is further stabilized by N-H⋯O hydrogen bonds.

Project description:The title compound, [Nd(OH)(SO(4))](n), was obtained hydro-thermally from an aqueous solution of neodymium nitrate, 1,2-propane-diamine and sulfuric acid. The structure features nona-coordinated neodymium with sulfate and hydroxide anions acting as bridging ligands. The OH group forms a weak O-H⋯O hydrogen bond with an O⋯O distance of 3.224 (5) Å.

Project description:In the title compound, {[(C(2)H(5))(3)NH][Cu(2)(CH(3)COO)(5)]·C(4)H(8)O}(n), the two different Cu(II) atoms are coordinated in a pseudo-square-pyramidal environment by five O atoms from the acetate ligands. Neighbouring pairs of Cu(II) atoms are linked by four basally coordinating bridging acetate ligands as in the crystal structure of copper acetate monohydrate. The fifth, apically coordinating ligand links two of the dicopper tetra-acetate paddlewheel-units together, thus building a linear coordination polymer which extends along [10-1]. Each apical acetate ligand is linked by an N-H⋯O hydrogen bond to a triethyl-ammonium cation. Weak C-H⋯O hydrogen bonding interactions also occur.

Project description:The asymmetric unit of the title organotin salt, (C(8)H(20)N)[Sn(C(6)H(5))(3)(CH(4)O(3)P)(2)], contains two dibutyl-ammonium cations and two stannate(IV) anions consisting each of two monodentately bonding methyl hydrogenphosphate groups attached to an Sn(C(6)H(5)) unit. The overall coordination environment of the two Sn(IV) atoms is trigonal-bipyramidal defined by three phenyl C atoms in equatorial positions and two methyl hydrogenphosphate O atoms at the apical sites. In the crystal, the stannate(IV) anions are linked to each other via pairs of short O-H?O hydrogen bonds, leading to an infinite chain extending parallel to the b-axis direction. Neighbouring chains are linked by N-H?O hydrogen bonds involving the butyl-ammonium cations, giving a two-dimensional structure parallel to the ab plane. The crystal under investigation was found to be twinned by reticular merohedry with twin fractions of 0.5342?(7):0.4658?(7).

Project description:The structure of the title compound, (C(14)H(16)N)(2)[HgCl(2)(SO(4))], consists of an infinite chain propagating along the c direction, containing Hg(II) ions tetra-coordinated by two bridging O atoms of bis-monodentate sulfate anions and two chloride ligands. In the the crystal, N-H?O hydrogen bonding between the cations and the anionic chains consolidates the packing. The crystal structure was determined from an inversion twin with approximately equal twin domains.

One Er(III) ion is coordinated by four O atoms from two imidazole-4,5-dicarboxyl-ate ligands, three O atoms from three SO(4) (2-) anions and one water O atom; the other Er(III) ion is bonded to five O atoms from three imdc ligands, two O atoms from two SO(4) (2-) anions as well as one coordinated water mol-ecule. The coordinated metal units are connected by bridging imdc ligands and sulfate ions, generating a two-dimensional heterometallic layer. The two-dimensional layers are stacked along the b axis via N-H⋯O, O-H⋯O and C-H⋯O hydrogen-bonding inter-actions between water mol-ecules, SO(4) (2-) anions, and imdc ligands, generating a three-dimensional framework.

Project description:Single crystals of the title compound, {Na(4)[Mo(VI)O(2)(SO(4))(3)]}(n), were grown from a melt of MoO(3) and Na(2)SO(4) in Na(2)S(2)O(7). In contrast to the structure of the isoformular K compound, K(4)[Mo(VI)O(2)(SO(4))(3)], with its monomeric anion, this sodium analogue contains a polymeric anion of the type {[Mo(VI)O(2)(SO(4))(2)-μ-(SO(4))](4-)}(n). The Mo(VI) cations, surrounded by two tightly bonded O atoms and four O atoms of one bridging and two terminal sulfato ligands, form zigzag chains parallel to [100]. All four Na(+) cations are situated between the anionic chains and have distorted octa-hedral coordination spheres.
