ABSTRACT: The title compound, {[Cu(C(17)H(11)N(2)O(3))(2)(H(2)O)]·2H(2)O}(n), is a two-dimensional polymer. The Cu(2+) ion lies on the crystallographic twofold axis. The coordination sphere of the Cu(2+) ion can be described as a distorted square pyramid. All of the H atoms in the amide group and lattice water mol-ecules participate in O-H?O or N-H?O hydrogen bonding to strengthen the two-dimensioal framework of the polymer.

Project description:In the title compound, [Zn(C(6)H(3)FNO(2))(2)(H(2)O)(4)]·2H(2)O, the Zn(II) atom is octa-hedrally coordinated in a ZnO(4)N(2) environment by two 3-fluoro-pyridine-4-carboxyl-ate (3-fpy4-cbx) ligands and four water mol-ecules. The [Zn(3-fpy4-cbx)(2)(H(2)O)(4)] mol-ecules form a three-dimensional network through strong O-H⋯O and weak O-H⋯F hydrogen bonds between 3-fpy4-cbx and water mol-ecules. The crystal used for data collection was a twin, with the twin law corresponding to a 180° rotation about the real-space [001] axis. The major twin fraction refined to 0.795 (1).

Project description:In the title compound, {[Cu(C(12)H(6)O(4))(C(3)H(4)N(2))(2)(H(2)O)]·2H(2)O}(n), the Cu(II) cation is coordinated by two naphthalene-1,4-dicarboxyl-ate (naph) dianions, two imidazole mol-ecules and one water mol-ecule in a distorted square-pyramidal geometry. The Cu-O bond distance in the apical direction is 0.509?(3)?Å longer than the mean Cu-O bond distance in the basal plane. The naph dianion bridges two Cu(II) cations, forming a one-dimensional polymeric chain. The coordinated water mol-ecule is hydrogen-bonded to the carboxylate groups and imidazole ligands of adjacent polymeric chains, forming a three-dimensional supra-molecular structure. No ?-? stacking is observed in the crystal structure. One solvent water molecule is disordered equally over two positions.

Project description:The title compound, [Li2(C12H6O4)(H2O)2] n , crystallizes with one half of the molecular entities in the asymmetric unit. The second half is gererated by inversion symmetry. The crystal structure has a layered arrangement built from distorted edge-sharing LiO3(OH)2 tetra-hedra parallel to (100), with naphthalenedi-carboxyl-ate bridging the LiO3(OH)2 layers along the [100] direction. Hydrogen bonding between the water molecule and adjacent carboxylate groups consolidates the packing.

Project description:The three-dimensional title coordination polymer, {[Tb(2)(C(8)H(2)NO(6))(2)(H(2)O)(5)]·H(2)O}(n), was hydro-thermally synthesized by reacting the corresponding rare-earth salt with pyridine-2,4,6-tricarb-oxy-lic acid (H(3)ptc). There are two independent Tb(III) atoms in the structure, one of which is nine-coordinated, forming a monocapped NO(8) square-anti-prism and the other is eight-coordinated exhibiting a 4,4-bicapped NO(7) trigonal-prismatic environment. The complex units are inter-connected through the ptc(3-) anions acting in different coordination modes, resulting in a three-dimensional coordin-ation polymer. The crystal structure features extensive O-H?O hydrogen bonds.

One Sm(III) ion is nine-coordinated by one N and five O atoms from the three ptc ligands and three aqua ligands in a distorted monocapped square antiprismatic geometry, and the other is eight-coordinated by one N and five O atoms from three ptc ligands and two aqua ligands in a 4,4'-bicapped trigonal anti-prismatic geometry. The ptc ligands brigde the Sm(III) ions into a three-dimensional polymeric framework. Extensive O-H?O hydrogen bonding is observed in the crystal structure.

O-H?O hydrogen bonds between the water mol-ecules and carboxyl-ate groups stabilize the structure.

In the crystal, O-H⋯O and C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds, and offset π-π stacking inter-actions [inter-centroid distances = 3.551 (1) and 3.746 (1) Å] involving inversion-related pyridine rings link the polymeric chains and lattice water mol-ecules to form a supra-molecular three-dimensional framework.

Project description:In the title compound, [Cu(C7H3NO4)(C3H4N2)(H2O)]·2H2O, the CuII atom is coordinated by three O atoms and two N atoms, provided by a tridentate pyridine-2,6-di-carboxyl-ate (pdc), one pyrazole and one water ligand, forming a slightly distorted square-pyramidal geometry [range of O-Cu-O and O-Cu-N bond angles = 79.55?(8)-166.22?(10)°]. The water mol-ecule is positioned at the apical position. In the crystal, the complex mol-ecule and the two crystallographically independent non-coordinating water mol-ecules are linked into a supra-molecular layer structure parallel to the ab plane via O-H?O and N-H?O hydrogen bonds.
