ABSTRACT: The borazine ring of the title mol-ecule, C(7)H(21)B(3)ClN(5), shows a mild distortion from a planar to a flattened boat conformation. Steric effects due to the methyl and dimethyl-amine substituents appear to be the cause of this distortion.

Project description:In the title compound, C7H21B3N6O3, the r.m.s. deviation of the borazine ring atoms is 0.019?Å. The dimethyl-amino groups are orientated at 41.80?(7) and 36.43?(7)° with respect to the borazine ring. The nitro-oxy group is almost normal to the borazine ring [dihedral angle = 85.33?(14)°]. The methyl C atom trans to the NO3 group is displaced by -0.512?(3)?Å from the ring plane, whereas the two ortho-methyl C atoms are displaced by 0.239?(3) and 0.178?(3)?Å.

Project description:In the title molecular salt, C(25)H(38)N(4) (2+)·2PF(6) (-), one of the butyl groups and four F atoms in the basal plane of one of the PF(6) (-) octa-hedra are disordered over two sets of sites, with occupancy ratios of 0.704 (5):0.296 (5) and 0.71 (3):0.29 (3), respectively. The central benzene ring makes dihedral angles of 85.17 (12) and 81.97 (12)° with the terminal imidazole rings. In the crystal, cations and anions are linked together via inter-molecular C-H⋯F hydrogen bonds forming a three-dimensional network.

Project description:The title compound, C(17)H(16)ClN(5)·C(3)H(7)NO, was prepared by reaction of p-toluidine with 2,4,6-trichloro-1,3,5-triazine at room temperature. The dihedral angles between the triazine ring and the pendant rings are 3.61?(12) and 53.11?(12)°. An intra-molecular C-H?N inter-action occurs. The packing is stabilized by N-H?N and N-H?O hydrogen bonds and C-H?? and ?-? [centroid-centroid distance = 3.763?(1)?Å] inter-actions.

Project description:In the title compound, [Cd(NO(3))(2)(C(10)H(11)N(3))(2)], two naph-thyridine ring systems are coordinated to the Cd ion through the two N atoms in a bidentate chelating mode, whereas the remaining coordination sites are occupied by two O atoms from two different nitrate groups to complete the octahedral geometry. Inter-moleular N-H?O hydrogen bonds link the mol-ecules to form a one-dimensionnal sheet parallel to the ac plane. Weak slipped ?-? stacking involving the naphthyridine ring systems stabilizes the structure.

Crystal structure of 1,3,5-trimethyl-2,4-di-nitro-benzene.

Project description:In the title compound, C9H10N2O4, the planes of the nitro groups subtend dihedral angles of 55.04 (15) and 63.23 (15)° with that of the aromatic ring. These tilts are in opposite senses and the mol-ecule possesses approximate mirror symmetry about a plane normal to the mol-ecule. In the crystal, mol-ecules form stacks in the [100] direction with adjacent mol-ecules related by translation, although the centroid-centroid separation of 4.136 (5) Å is probably too long to regard as a significant aromatic π-π stacking inter-action. An extremely weak C-H⋯O inter-action is also present.

Project description:Two virtually superimposable mol-ecules comprise the asymmetric unit of the title compound, C(27)H(27)N(3). The range of dihedral angles between the central 1,3,5-triazine ring and the attached benzene rings is 20.88?(14)-31.36?(14)°, and the shape of each mol-ecule is of a flattened bowl. The crystal packing features weak C-H?? bonds and ?-? inter-actions between triazine and benzene rings [centroid-centroid separations = 3.7696?(17) and 3.7800?(18)?Å] that result in the formation of supra-molecular layers in the ac plane. The crystal studied was a non-merohedral twin with a minor twin component of 20.7?(3)%.

Project description:The title compound, C(23)H(32)Cl(2)N(2)O(2), a potential chiral ligand for coordination chemistry, was prepared by a two-step reaction. The mol-ecule is located on a crystallographic centre of inversion. As a result, the methyl group bonded to the methyl-ene group is disordered over two equally occupied positions, sharing the same site as the H atom of the chiral C atom. As a further consequence of the crystallographic centrosymmetry, the 1,2-diamino-propane unit adopts an anti-periplanar conformation and the two benzene rings are coplanar. The central chain is in an all-trans arrangement. An intra-molecular O-H?N hydrogen bond makes an S(6) ring motif. A C-H?? inter-action links the mol-ecules into one-dimensional chains along the [001] direction.

The dihedral angle between the two phenyl rings is 83.56 (19)°. Intra-molecular C-H⋯N and C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds occur. In the crystal, mol-ecules are linked through C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds.
