ABSTRACT: In the title compound, [PdBr(C17H17N2O5)], the Pd(II) atom is coordinated by an N,C(1),N'-tridentate pincer ligand and a Br atom in a distorted square-planar geometry. In the crystal, mol-ecules are connected by C-H?Br and C-H?O hydrogen bonds, and ?-? inter-actions between the oxazole and benzene rings [centroid-centroid distance = 3.7344?(19)?Å], resulting in a three-dimensional supra-molecular structure.

Project description:The title compound, C(24)H(24)N(2), is an enanti-omerically pure bis-aldimine, which displays twofold crystallographic symmetry, with two C atoms of the central benzene ring lying on the symmetry axis. The imine group is slightly twisted from the benzene core, with a dihedral angle of 12.72 (16)° between the benzene ring and the C=N-C(*) plane. The terminal phenyl rings make an angle of 66.44 (4)° and are oriented in opposite directions with respect to the benzene ring. In the crystal, mol-ecules inter-act weakly through a C-H⋯π inter-action involving the phenyl rings, and form chains along the 2(1) screw-axis in the [100] direction.

Project description:The title compound, C(29)H(35)N(3), is the product of the condensation reaction between 2,6-diacetyl-pyridine and 2,6-diethyl-aniline. In the mol-ecule, the pyridyl ring is coplanar with the imino functional groups [torsion angles in the range 177.1 (2)-179.9 (2)°. The two 2,6-diethyl-substituted benzene rings are approximately perpendicular to the ethyl-idenepyridine central core, the dihedral angles being 88.7 (1) and 88.4 (1)°, respectively.

Project description:The title salt, (C(19)H(18)NO(2))(2)[Cu(2)Br(6)], was obtained from an attempt to synthesize the copper(II) complex of 2,6-bis-(2-meth-oxy-phen-yl)pyridine (L) from a reaction between CuBr(2) and one equivalent of L in CH(2)Cl(2) at room temperature. The resulting compound is the salt of the 2,6-bis-(2-meth-oxy-phen-yl)pyridinium cation and 0.5 equivalents of a hexa-bromido-dicuprate(II) dianion. Both meth-oxy groups of the cationic pyridinium moiety are directed towards the N atom of the pyridine ring as a result of intra-molecular N-H⋯O hydrogen bonds. The centrosymmetric hexabromidodicuprate dianion possesses a distorted tetra-hedral geometry at the copper ion. The Cu-Br bond lengths are 2.3385 (7) and 2.3304 (7) Å for the terminal bromides, whereas the bond length between the Cu atom and two bridging bromides is slightly longer [2.4451 (6) Å].

Project description:The asymmetric unit of the title compound, [Cu(C(13)H(20)N(2)O(2))(2)](NCS)(2), contains one half-dication, located on an inversion center, and one thio-cyanate anion. Each Cu(II) atom is four-coordinated by two phenolate O and two imine N atoms from two symmetry-related Schiff base 2-{[2-(isopropyl-aza-nium-yl)eth-yl]imino-meth-yl}-6-meth-oxy-phenolate (L) ligands in a distorted square-planar geometry. The ammonium groups are involved in the formation of N-H⋯O and N-H⋯N hydrogen bonds, which link one dication and two anions into an electroneutral cluster. When very weak Cu-N interactions with a distance of 2.910 (5) Å between the metal and the thiocyanate anions in apical positions are considered, the secondary coordination polyhedron is a very elongated CuN(4)O(2) octahedron.

Project description:The mol-ecule of the title compound {systematic name: 17,35-bis-[(2-propyn-1-yl-oxy)meth-yl]-2,5,8,11,14,20,23,26,29,32-deca-oxatricyclo-[31.3.1.1(15,19)]octa-triaconta-1(37),15,17,19 (38),33,35-hex-a--ene}, C(36)H(48)O(12), has crystallographic inversion symmetry and adopts a chair-like conformation. The polyether bridges of the macrocycle adopt gauche conformations and the cavity of the macrocycle is collapsed. In the crystal structure, there are weak inter-molecular C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds driven in part by the elevated acidity of acetylenyl H atoms.

Project description:The commercially available title compound, C(25)H(23)N(3)O(2), has been known since 1993 [Nesper et al. (1993 ?). Helv. Chim. Acta, 76, 2239-2249], but has not been structurally characterized until now. In the free ligand, the N atoms of both oxazoline rings point in opposite directions. The phenyl rings make dihedral angles of 30.56?(5) and 84.57?(3)° with the pyridine ring and 72.85?(3)° with each other.

Project description:The crystal structure of the title compound, [Mn(C(14)H(13)NO(2))(2)(H(2)O)(3)](NO(3))(2), is comprised of two Schiff base 2-meth-oxy-6-(N-phenyl-carboximido-yl)phenol (HL) ligands and three coordinated water mol-ecules. The Mn(II) ion lies on a twofold axis that bis-ects one water O atom. The coordination sphere of the five-coordinate Mn atom is completed by the two monodentate HL ligands and three coordinated water mol-ecules binding through their O atoms, affording a distorted tetra-gonal-pyramidal geometry. In the phenolate ligands, the hy-droxy H atom transfers to the imine N atom. This H atom is also involved in an intra-molecular N-H?O hydrogen bond that imposes a nearly planar conformation on each ligand, with dihedral angles of 2.78?(3) and 2.43?(5)° between the aromatic rings of each ligand. In the crystal, mol-ecules are linked by inter-molecular O-H?O hydrogen bonds.
