Project description:The conformation adopted by the title compound, C20H21N3O3, in the crystal is 'J'-shaped and appears to be at least partially directed by a weak intra-molecular C-H?N hydrogen bond. In the crystal, mol-ecules are linked by N-H?O hydrogen bonds, forming dimers with R 2 (2)(8) motifs. Furthermore, these dimers connect to each other via C-H?O and N-H?O hydrogen bonds to form a three-dimensional network.

Project description:In the title compound, C(14)H(15)N(5)O(4), the central -C=N-N-C(=O)-C- bridge is nearly planar [maximum deviation = 0.037?(1)?Å] and forms dihedral angles of 7.37?(9) and 73.33?(5)°, respectively, with the benzene and imidazole rings. The dihedral angle between the benzene and imidazole rings is 66.08?(9)°. The meth-oxy and nitro groups are nearly coplanar with the benzene and imidazole rings, respectively, with a C-O-C-C torsion angle of 5.9?(2)° and an O-N-C-C angle of -0.2?(2)°. In the crystal, mol-ecules are linked by a pair of N-H?O hydrogen bonds with an R(2) (2)(8) ring motif, forming an inversion dimer. The dimers are further inter-connected by C-H?O hydrogen bonds into a sheet parallel to the (111) plane. A C-H?? inter-action is also observed between the sheets.

Project description:In the title compound, C(10)H(12)N(2)O(3)·H(2)O, the Schiff base mol-ecule is approximately planar [within 0.189?(1)?Å]. The inter-planar angle between the benzene and acetohydrazide planes is 8.50?(10)°. In the crystal, mol-ecules are linked into a three-dimensional network by strong and weak O-H?O and strong N-H?O hydrogen bonds. The hydr-oxy H atom deviates from the 4-hydr-oxy-3-methoxy-phenyl mean plane by 0.319?(2)?Å, probably due to the involvement of this H atom in the O-H?O hydrogen bond. The weak O-H?O hydrogen bond is involved in a bifurcated hydrogen bond with R(1) (2)(4) motif. A weak C-H?? inter-action is also present.

Project description:The title compound, C(16)H(16)N(2)OS(2), was obtained from a condensation reaction of benzyl dithio-carbazate and 4-meth-oxy-benzaldehyde. In the mol-ecule, the meth-oxy-phenyl ring and dithio-carbazate fragment are located on opposite sides of the C=N double bond, showing an E configuration. The dithio-carbazate fragment is approximately planar (r.m.s. deviation = 0.0052 Å); its mean plane is oriented at dihedral angles of 8.19 (15) and 85.70 (13)°, respectively, to the meth-oxy-phenyl and phenyl rings. The dihedral angles between the benzene rings are 29.20 (9) and 26.59 (9)°, respectively, for the major and minor components of the 4-meth-oxy-substituted ring. All meth-oxy substituents lie close to the plane of the attached benzene rings [the Cmeth-yl-O-C-C torsion angles range from -4.0 (12) to 3.9 (2)°]. In the crystal, the components are linked into chains propagating along [001] via N-H⋯O and O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds and weak C-H⋯O inter-actions.
