N-[(Z)-4-Meth-oxy-benzyl-idene](meth-oxy-carbon-yl)methanamine oxide.

ABSTRACT: The title compound, C(11)H(13)NO(4), contains a nitrone group, C=N-O-R, the geometry of which shows a Z configuration with near planarity (r.m.s. deviation = 0.0787 Å) around the C=N double bond. An intra-molecular C-H⋯O hydrogen bond generates an S(6) ring motif. In the crystal packing, mol-ecules are linked into R(2) (2)(12) dimers and R(2) (2)(14) rings via C-H⋯O inter-molecular hydrogen bonds.

Project description:The title compound, C(16)H(16)N(2)O(4), was obtained from the reaction of hydrazine hydrate and o-vanilin in absolute ethanol. The mol-ecule is almost planar (except for the methyl H atoms), with a mean deviation from the plane of 0.0259?Å. The mol-ecular structure also exhibits an approximate non-crystallographic twofold axis. Intra-molecular O-H?N hydrogen bonds occur. In the crystal, inter-molecular C-H?O hydrogen bonds generate mol-ecular zigzag sheets. The sheets stack through C-H?? inter-actions, leading to a three-dimensional-network.

Both cations feature an intra-molecular N-H?O hydrogen bond. In the crystal, the components are linked by an extensive three-dimensional network of N-H?O, O-H?Cl and N-H?Cl hydrogen bonds (three of them bifurcated). Weak C-H?O intera-ctions also occur.

Project description:The shape of the title compound, C(19)H(21)N(3)O(6), is curved with the conformation about the imine bond [1.291 (3) Å] being E. While the hy-droxy-substituted benzene ring is almost coplanar with the hydrazinyl residue [N-N-C-C = 177.31 (18)°], an observation correlated with an intra-molecular O-H⋯N hydrogen bond leading to an S(6) ring, the remaining residues exhibit significant twists. The carbonyl residues are directed away from each other as are the amines. This allows for the formation of O-H⋯O and N-H⋯O hydrogen bonds in the crystal, which lead to two-dimensional supra-molecular arrays in the ac plane. Additional stabilization to the layers is afforded by C-H⋯π inter-actions.

Project description:In the title compound, C(23)H(22)N(2)O(2)S(2), the dihedral angles between the 4-meth-oxy-substituted phenyl ring and the other two phenyl rings are 84.4?(4) and 77.7?(1)°, respectively, while the dihedral angle between the two phenyl rings is 57.5?(2)°. The amino group is not involved in an N-H hydrogen bond. The crystal packing is established by inter-molecular C-H?O packing inter-actions involving a relatively rare weak three-center hydrogen bond between the keto O atom and H atoms of the two nearby phenyl rings, which link the mol-ecules into chains running along the a axis. Additional weak inter-molecular hydrogen-bond inter-actions between the 4-meth-oxy O atom and one of the phenyl rings and provide added stability to the crystal packing.

Project description:In the title compound, C15H23N3O3, the piperazine ring is in a slightly distorted chair conformation and is twisted from the mean plane of the benzene ring making a dihedral angle of 14.94 (6)°. The 4-meth-oxy substituent is almost co-planar with the benzene ring [C-C-O-C torsion angle = 5.4 (1)°], while the meth-oxy groups at positions 2 and 3 [C-C-O-C torsion angles of 122.6 (4) and -66.1 (4)°, respectively] are twisted away from the mean plane of the benzene ring in anti-clinical and synclinical conformations, respectively. No classical hydrogen bonds or any weak inter-molecular inter-actions are observed in the crystal structure.
