[?-3,3'-Bis(tri-hydro-bor-yl)[3]ferroceno-phane]bis-(chlorido-zirconocene).

ABSTRACT: The title compound, [FeZr2(C5H5)4Cl2(C13H18B2)], is a heteronuclear complex that consists of a [3]ferrocenophane moiety substituted at each cyclo-penta-dienyl (Cp) ring by a BH3 group; the BH3 group is bonded via two H atoms to the Zr atom of the zirconocene chloride moiety in a bidentate fashion. The two Cp rings of the [3]ferrocenophane moiety are aligned at a dihedral angle of 8.9?(4)° arising from the strain of the propane-1,3-diyl bridge linking the two Cp rings. [One methyl-ene group is disordered over two positions with a site-occupation factor of 0.552?(18) for the major occupied site.] The dihedral angles between the Cp rings at the two Zr atoms are 50.0?(3) and 51.7?(3)°. The bonding Zr?H distances are in the range 1.89?(7)-2.14?(7)?Å. As the two Cp rings of the ferrocene unit are connected by an ansa bridge, the two Zr atoms approach each other at 6.485?(1)?Å. The crystal packing features C-H?Cl inter-actions.

Project description:In the title complex, [CuCl(C8H8N2OS)(C18H15P)2]·2CH3OH, the Cu(I) ion is coordinated by one chloride anion, one S atom from the 5-meth-oxy-1H-benzimidazole-2(3H)-thione ligand and two P atoms from two tri-phenyl-phosphine ligands in a distorted tetra-hedral geometry. One of the N-bound H atoms is involved in an intra-molecular N-H⋯Cl hydrogen bond, while another one inter-acts with the solvent methanol mol-ecule via an N-H⋯O hydrogen bond. Inter-molecular O-H⋯Cl and O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds link two further complex mol-ecules and four solvent mol-ecules into a centrosymmetric structural unit. The short distance of 3.624 (4) Å between the centroids of the five- and the six-membered rings of two benzimidazole fragments indicates the presence of π-π inter-actions.

Project description:In the title complex, [CuCl2(C12H14N2)2], the Cu(2+) cation is situated on an inversion centre and is coordinated by two N atoms from symmetry-related 1-mesityl-1H-imidazole ligands and by two chloride anions in a slightly distorted square-planar geometry. In the organic ligand, the dihedral angle between the benzene ring of the mesityl moiety and the imidazole ring is 76.99 (18)°. Weak intra-molecular C-H⋯Cl hydrogen-bonding inter-actions consolidate the mol-ecular conformation.

Project description:The structure of the title compound, H3O+·C2F6NO4S2 -·C12H24O6 or [H3O+·C12H24O6][N(SO2CF3)2 -], which is an ionic liquid with a melting point of 341-343 K, has been determined at 113 K. The asymmetric unit consists of two crystallographically independent 18-crown-6 mol-ecules, two hydro-nium ions and two bis-(tri-fluoro-methane-sulfon-yl)amide anions; each 18-crown-6 mol-ecule complexes with a hydro-nium ion. In one 18-crown-6 mol-ecule, a part of the ring exhibits conformational disorder over two sets of sites with an occupancy ratio of 0.533 (13):0.467 (13). One hydro-nium ion is complexed with the ordered 18-crown-6 mol-ecule via O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds with H2OH⋯OC distances of 1.90 (6)-2.19 (7) Å, and the other hydro-nium ion with the disordered crown mol-ecule with distances of 1.85 (6)-2.36 (6) Å. The hydro-nium ions are also linked to the anions via O-H⋯F hydrogen bonds. The crystal studied was found to be a racemic twin with a component ratio of 0.55 (13):0.45 (13).

Project description:The mol-ecular geometry of the complex cation in the title structure, [(?-Cl)(3){Ru(II)(?(6)-C(6)Me(6))}(2)][Fe(III)Cl(4)], compares very well with that reported earlier for the corresponding PF(6) (-) salt [Pandey et al. (1999 ?). J. Organomet. Chem.592, 278-282]. The [FeCl(4)](-) counter ion has a rather regular tetra-hedral geometry with Fe-Cl distances and Cl-Fe-Cl angles in the range 2.1891?(7)-2.2018?(8)?Å and 107.10?(3)-110.56?(3)°, respectively. There are no significant inter-molecular inter-actions in the crystal except for some weak C-H?Cl contacts, which in turn indicates that the crystal packing is determined predominantly by electrostatic inter-actions between the ionic constituents.

Project description:The title compound, [Pd(4)(CH(2))(2)Cl(4)(C(28)H(40)P(2))(2)]·5C(4)H(8)O, possesses a tetra-nuclear palladium core with four bridging chlorido ligands and two bridging methyl-ene units, as well as two bridging anthracene-based bis-phosphine ligands. This tetra-nuclear complex can be considered as being composed of two ?-chlorido-bridged LPd(2) units. The structural motif of these LPd(2) units shows two doubly bridged palladium centers between the P atoms of the bis-phosphine ligand. One of these bridges is a ?-Cl atom, the other a ?-methyl-ene group. The coordination environment around each palladium center is essentially square planar. We ascribe the oxidation state +II to the palladium centers and do not assume Pd-Pd bonds [shortest distances 2.8110?(5) and 2.8109?(6)?Å]. Co-crystallized with the palladium complex we found five non-coordinating tetra-hydro-furan solvent mol-ecules, one of which is disordered over two positions in a 0.429?(9):0.571?(8) ratio.

The Bi(III) coordination polyhedron is a distorted octa-hedron and two such octa-hedra share a triangular face to form the complex anion. There are three short terminal Bi-Cl bonds [2.5471 (6)-2.5781(5 Å] and three longer bridging bonds [2.8599 (5)-2.9984 (6) Å] in each octa-hedron. Anions, cations and water mol-ecules are linked by hydrogen bonds to form a three-dimensional network. There are also π-π stacking inter-actions between quinoline ring systems, with an inter-planar distance of 3.27 (1) Å.
