Catena-Poly[[(N,N-di-methyl-cyanamide-?N)lithium]-?3-bromido].

ABSTRACT: The title complex, [LiBr(C3H6N2)] n , is the unexpected product of a reaction beteween (Dipp)N(Li)SiMe3 (Dipp = 2,6-diiso-propyl-phen-yl), Me2NCN and CuBr. The compound is a one-dimensional polymer with a step structure derived from the association of inversion dimers, formed by bromido ligands bridging two Li(+) cations, each of which carries a di-methyl-cyanamide ligand. The planar (LiBr)2 unit of the polymer core has a regular rhombic shape [Li-Br-Li 77.55?(16)° and Br-Li-Br 102.45?(16)°]. These (LiBr·NCNMe2)2 dimers represent the repeat unit of a polymer system propagated by additional Br-Li and Li-Br bonds generating an infinite step structure along the a-axis direction.

Project description:The title complex, [Cu(2)Br(3)(C(11)H(9)N(2)O(2))](n), was one of three isolated by slow evaporation of an acetonitrile reaction mixture of CuBr(2) with di-2-pyridyl ketone (1:1 molar ratio). The title complex contains a 2:1 metal-to-ligand ratio of copper(II) with the hydrated form of the ligand, di-2-pyridylmethane-diol. The two copper centers are bridged by a bromide ion and the alk-oxy O atom, and the Cu-Cu distance is 2.9801?(5)?Å. The dimeric units are further linked by bromide ions, leading to a two-dimensional extended bridged structure. O-H?O hydrogen bonds are present in the crystal structure.

Project description:The asymmetric unit of the title compound {(C6H18N2)2[Sb2Br10]·H2O} n , consists of two tetra-methyl-ethylendi-ammonium cations that are located on centres of inversion, as well as one tetra-methyl-ethylendi-ammonium cation, one water mol-ecule, one distorted octahedral [SbBr6](3-)anion and one bisphenoidal [SbBr4](-) anion in general positions. The [SbBr6](3-) and [SbBr4](-) anions are linked together by two long Sb-Br bonds of 3.2709 (8) and 3.5447 (7) Å into {[Sb2Br10](4-)} n chains along [001]. Project description:Crystals of the title compound, {(C(6)H(5)C(2)H(4)NH(3))(2)[PbBr(4)]}(n), were grown at room temperature from a solution in N,N-dimethyl-formamide (DMF) using nitro-methane as the poor solvent. This perovskite-type organic-inorganic hybrid compound consists of well ordered sheets of corner-sharing disordered PbBr(6) octa-hedra separated by bilayers of phenethyl-ammonium cations. The octa-hedra are rotated and tilted due to N-H⋯Br hydrogen bonds with the ammonium groups, generating a superstructure in the unit cell similar to that of the tetra-chloridoplumbate (C(6)H(5)C(2)H(4)NH(3))(2)[PbCl(4)].
