ABSTRACT: The title compound, [Li2(C25H23BN4OP)2], features a centrosymmetric dimeric complex. The four-memberered Li2O2 ring is exactly planar due to symmetry. The Li atom is four-coordinated by two O atoms and by two N atoms of two different pyrazole rings. The dihedral angle between two pyrazole rings bonded to the same B atom is 45.66?(9)°. The B-N-N-Li-N-N metalla ring adopts a boat conformation. The crystal packing is stabilized by van der Waals inter-actions only.

The pyrimidine ring forms dihedral angles of 9.95?(8) and 1.86?(7)° with its adjacent meth-oxy-substituted benzene rings, whereas the equivalent angles are 80.24?(9) and 11.55?(9)° for the pyrazole ring and its adjacent benzene rings. Project description:In the title complex, [CoCl2(C25H21N5)], the Co(II) atom is coordinated by two Cl atoms and two N atoms, provided by a tridentate pyrazolylpyridyl ligand, forming a slightly distorted tetra-hedral geometry [range of angles: 96.51 (10) (chelate ring) to 118.60 (9)°]. The dihedral angle between Cl/Co/Cl and N/Co/N planes is 86.83 (7)°. The chelate ring has the conformation of a distorted boat. The dihedral angle between pyridyl ring and the coordinated pyrazolyl ring is 56.16 (12)°. The uncoordinated pyrazolyl ring is almost perpendicular to the pyridyl ring with the dihedral angle of 87.49 (10)°. In the crystal packing, inter-molecular phenyl-C-H ⋯π(pyrid-yl) inter-actions generate dimeric aggregates. These are connected into a zigzag supra-molecular chain along the c-axis direction via π-π inter-actions [inter-centroid distance between pyridyl and phenyl rings = 3.664 (2) Å].

Project description:The title compound, C(25)H(20)N(4)O(2), is a ditopic ortho-hydro-quinone-based bis-(pyrazol-1-yl)methane ligand. The dihedral angles between the planes of the pyrazole rings and their attached phenyl rings are 17.4?(3) and 5.9?(4)°. The pyrazole rings make a dihedral angle of 87.84?(16)°. One of the two hy-droxy groups forms an intra-molecular hydrogen bond to the other hy-droxy group, whereas the second is involved in an inter-molecular O-H?N hydrogen bond. As a result of these inter-molecular hydrogen bonds, helical chains running along the b axis are formed.
