Poly[guanidinium [tri-?-formato-?(6) O:O'-formato-?(2) O,O'-yttrium(III)]].

ABSTRACT: In the title coordination polymer, {(CH6N3)[Y(CHO2)4]} n , the yttrium(III) ion is coordinated by one O,O-bidentate formate ion and six ?2 bridging formate ions, generating a square-anti-prismatic YO8 coordination polyhedron. The bridging formate ions connect the metal ions into an anionic, three-dimensional network. Charge compensation is provided by guanidinium ions, which inter-act with the framework by way of N-H?O hydrogen bonds. The guanidine molecules reside in porous channels of 3.612 by 8.189?Å, when considering the van der Waals radii of the nearest atoms (looking down the a-axis).

Poly[tri-μ-aqua-di-aqua-μ-phosphono-formato-cobalt(II)sodium].

Project description:The title complex, [CoNa(CO5P)(H2O)5]n, was obtained by reacting sodium phosphono-formate with cobalt nitrate. The complex contains cobalt(II) and sodium ions, which are bridged by the O atoms of two aqua ligands. The Co(II) ion is octahedrally coordinated by three phosphonoformato ligands (one bi- and the other monodentate) and by two O atoms from the bridging aqua ligands. The sodium cation is hexa-coordinated by six O atoms from four bridging and two terminal aqua ligands. The complex mol-ecules are linked to give a three-dimensional structure by phosphono-formate ligands bridging Co(II) atoms and water mol-ecules establishing cobalt-sodium bridges. O-H⋯O hydrogen bonding between the aqua ligands and all O atoms of the phosphono-formato ligand and neighbouring aqua ligands help to consolidate the packing.

Poly[hexa-aqua-tri-μ-malonato-didysprosium(III)].

Project description:The title compound, [Dy(2)(C(3)H(2)O(4))(3)(H(2)O)(6)](n), forms a coordination polymeric structure comprising hydrated dysprosium ions and malonate ligands. In the asymmetric unit, there are one dysprosium ion, one and a half malonate ligands, and three water mol-ecules. Each Dy(III) atom is coordinated by six O atoms from four malonate ligands and by three water mol-ecules, and displays a tricapped trigonal-prismatic coordination geometry. The malonate ligands adopt two types of coordination mode, linking dysprosium centres to form a three-dimensional coordination polymer. The extensive network of hydrogen bonds in this polymer enhances the structural stability.

Project description:In the title polymer, {[La(2)(C(4)H(4)O(6))(3)(H(2)O)(3)]·2H(2)O}(n), two symmetry-independent La(III) ions are nine-coordinated and display a distorted monocapped square-anti-prismatic geometry. One is coordinated by seven O atoms from four tartrate ligands and two water mol-ecules, the other by eight O atoms from five tartrate ligands and one water mol-ecule. The three tartrate ligands in the asymmetric unit act identically as μ(5)-ligands, which link lanthanum centres to form a three-dimensional coordination framework. An extensive network of hydrogen bonds is observed in the crystal structure, involving two uncoordinated water mol-ecules, one of which is disordered over two positions, with occupancies of 0.550 (13) and 0.450 (13).

Project description:In the title complex, {[Tb(C(6)H(5)NO(2))(3)(H(2)O)(2)](ClO(4))(3)·H(2)O}(n), the Tb(III) ion is coordinated by six O atoms from six isonicotinate (inic) ligands and two water mol-ecules, displaying a bicapped trigonal-prismatic geometry. The inic ligands, which are protonated at the pyridine N atom, link the metal centres, forming a polymeric chain running parallel to the a axis. The chains are further assembled via intra- and inter-molecular O-H?O and N-H?O hydrogen-bonding inter-actions into a three-dimensional supra-molecular network involving the inic ligands, the water mol-ecules and the perchlorate anions. One of the perchlorate ions is disordered over two sites with occupancies of 0.561?(17) and 0.439?(17).

Project description:In the title compound, {[Nd(3)(C(7)H(3)NO(4))(3)(OH)(3)]·H(2)O}(n), the Nd(III) atom is eight-coordinated by the three O atoms of three asymmetrically ?(3)-bridging hydroxide groups, by four carboxyl-ate O atoms of four different pyridine-2,5-dicarboxyl-ate (2,5-pydc) ligands, and by the N atom of a 2,5-pydc ligand. Six Nd atoms are connected by six hydroxide groups, forming an [Nd(6)(?(3)-OH)(6)] cluster unit of symmetry -3 and a slightly compressed octa-hedral geometry. Adjacent [Nd(6)(?(3)-OH)(6)] clusters are connected by the 2,5-pydc ligands, via O and N atoms, forming chains along the c axis. The remaining O atoms of the 2,5-pydc ligands link these chains into a three-dimensional framework. A disordered water molecule, located on a threefold rotation axis at the opposite side of the [Nd(6)(?(3)-OH)(6)] cluster and exposed to each of the three Nd atoms, completes the structure.

Project description:The three-dimensional title coordination polymer, {[Tb(2)(C(8)H(2)NO(6))(2)(H(2)O)(5)]·H(2)O}(n), was hydro-thermally synthesized by reacting the corresponding rare-earth salt with pyridine-2,4,6-tricarb-oxy-lic acid (H(3)ptc). There are two independent Tb(III) atoms in the structure, one of which is nine-coordinated, forming a monocapped NO(8) square-anti-prism and the other is eight-coordinated exhibiting a 4,4-bicapped NO(7) trigonal-prismatic environment. The complex units are inter-connected through the ptc(3-) anions acting in different coordination modes, resulting in a three-dimensional coordin-ation polymer. The crystal structure features extensive O-H?O hydrogen bonds.
