Project description:The title compound, C21H25NO3, crystallized as a racemic twin in the Sohnke space group P21. In the mol-ecular structure of the title compound, both enanti-omers show a highly similar conformation with the urethane function and the benzoyl group showing an almost perpendicular arrangement [the dihedral angle is 72.46 (8)° in the S-enanti-omer and 76.21 (8)° in the R-enanti-omer]. In the crystal structure, mol-ecules of both enanti-omers show infinite helical arrangements parallel to the b axis formed by weak C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds between the phenyl ring of the benzoyl group and the carbamate carbonyl group. In case of the R-enanti-omer, this helix is additionally stabilized by a bifurcated hydrogen bond between the carbonyl function of the benzoyl group towards both phenyl groups of the mol-ecule.

Project description:The title compound, C26H38ClN2OP, was synthesized by reacting phosphoryl chloride with N,N'-bis-(2,6-diiso-propyl-phen-yl)ethane-1,2-di-amine in the presence of N-methyl-morpholine which acted as an auxilliary base to quench the HCl released as a by-product. The resultant N-heterocyclic phosphine five-membered ring adopts a half-chair conformation and features a tetra-coordinate P atom ligated by the chelating di-amine [P-N = 1.6348 (14) and 1.6192 (14) Å], one double-bonded O atom [P1-O1 = 1.4652 (12) Å] and one Cl atom [P1-Cl1 = 2.0592 (7) Å]. The sterically hindered 2,6-diiso-propyl-phenyl (Dipp) groups twist away from the central heterocycle, with torsion angles of -75.66 (19) and 83.39 (19)° for the P-N-Car-Car links. A number of intra-molecular C-H⋯N, C-H⋯O and C-H⋯Cl close contacts occur. In the crystal, mol-ecules are linked by C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds to generate [010] chains. C-H⋯π inter-actions are also observed.

Project description:The title solvated salt, C29H41N2 (+)·Br(-)·2CH2Cl2 was obtained from the reaction of the Arduengo-type carbene 1,3-bis-(2,6-diiso-propyl-phen-yl)-1,3-dihydro-4,5-dimethyl-2H-imidazol-2-ylidene with Si2Br6 in di-chloro-methane. The complete cation is generated by a crystallographic mirror plane and the dihedral angle between the five-membered ring and the benzene ring is 89.8?(6)°; the dihedral angle between the benzene rings is 40.7?(2)°. The anion also lies on the mirror plane and both di-chloro-methane mol-ecules are disordered across the mirror plane over two equally occupied orientations. In the crystal, the cations are linked to the anions via C-H?Br hydrogen bonds.

Project description:In the mol-ecule of the title compound, C18H35N3P2, the methyl-pyridine-2,6-di-amine moiety is almost planar, with a maximum deviation of 0.0129?(9)?Å for one of the amine N atoms. Whereas one of the P atoms is co-planar with this mean plane [deviation = 0.0158?(10)?Å], the other P atom is considerably displaced out of the mean plane by 0.5882?(10)?Å. In the crystal, no directional intermolecular interactions beyond van der Waals contacts could be identified.

Project description:In the title compound, (iPr2NH2)2[SnI2(C2O4)2], which was prepared by reacting ( i Pr2NH2+)2·C2O42- with SnI4 in a 2:1 molar ratio in a mixed ethanol-aceto-nitrile solvent, the Sn atom is coordinated by two chelating oxalate ions and two iodide ions, with the latter in a cis configuration. In the crystal, the cations are linked to the anions by N-H⋯O and bifurcated N-H⋯(O,O) hydrogen bonds, generating [10-1] chains.

Crystal structure of bis-(diiso-propyl-ammonium) molybdate.

Project description:The organic-inorganic title salt, (C6H16N)2[MoO4] or ( i Pr2NH2)2[MoO4], was obtained by reacting MoO3 with diiso-propyl-amine in a 1:2 molar ratio in water. The molybdate anion is located on a twofold rotation axis and exhibits a slightly distorted tetra-hedral configuration. In the crystal structure, the diiso-propyl-ammmonium ( i Pr2NH2)+ cations and [MoO4]2- anions are linked to each other through N-H?O hydrogen bonds, generating rings with R 12 12(36) motifs that give rise to the formation of a three-dimensional network. The structure was refined taking into account inversion twinning (ratio of ca 4:1 between the two domains).

Project description:The title compound, C26H38N5P, was synthesized by reacting 2-chloro-1,3-bis-(2,6-diiso-propyl-phen-yl)-1,3,2-di-aza-phospho-lidine with sodium azide and a catalytic amount of lithium chloride in tetra-hydro-furan. The title compound is the first structurally characterized 2-azido-1,3,2-di-aza-phospho-lidine and exhibits a P atom in a trigonal pyramidal geometry. The azide P-N bond length of 1.8547?(16)?Å is significantly longer than the P-N separations for the chelating di-amine [P-N = 1.6680?(15) and 1.6684?(14)?Å]. The sterically hindered 2,6-diiso-propyl-phenyl groups twist away from the central heterocycle, with dihedral angles between the central heteocyclic ring and benzene rings of 76.17?(10) and 79.74?(9)°. In the crystal, a weak C-H?N link to the terminal N atom of the azide group leads to [100] chains.

Project description:Deprotonation of the methyl-ene group in bis-(3,5-diiso-propyl-pyrazol-1-yl)methane with nBuLi and reaction with carbon dioxide yields lithium bis-(3,5-diiso-propyl-pyrazol-1-yl)acetate (1). Treatment of 1 with ZnCl2 results in the com-pound bis-[bis-(3,5-diiso-propyl-pyrazol-1-yl)acetato]-zinc(II), [Zn(C20H31N4O2)2] (2), whose structure has monoclinic (P21/c) symmetry. The ZnII ion resides on an inversion center and is coordinated by two bis-(3,5-diiso-propyl-pyrazol-1-yl)acetate (bdippza) ligands. Each ligand facially coordinates the zinc center via ?3N,N',O coordination modes to form a distorted octa-hedral complex with four pyrazole N atoms in the basal plane and two carboxyl-ate O atoms in the axial sites.

Project description:In the structure of the title hydrated salt, NH4 (+)·C8H5Cl2O3 (-)·0.5H2O, where the anion derives from (3,5-di-chloro-phen-oxy)acetic acid, the ammonium cation is involved in extensive N-H⋯O hydrogen bonding with both carboxyl-ate and ether O-atom acceptors giving sheet structures lying parallel to (100). The water mol-ecule of solvation lies on a crystallographic twofold rotation axis and is involved in intra-sheet O-H⋯Ocarboxyl-ate hydrogen-bonding inter-actions. In the anion, the oxoacetate side chain assumes an antiperiplanar conformation with the defining C-O-C-C torsion angle = -171.33 (15)°.
