Crystal structure of 3-(tri-phenyl-phosphoranyl-idene)-2,5-di-hydro-furan-2,5-dione tetra-hydro-furan monosolvate.

ABSTRACT: The title pseudo-polymorph of 3-(tri-phenyl-phospho-ranyl-idene)-2,5-di-hydro-furan-2,5-dione crystallizes with a tetra-hydro-furan solvent mol-ecule, viz. C₂₂H₁₇O₃P·C₄H₈O. The succinic anhydride ring is approximately planar (r.m.s. deviation = 0.032?Å). The tetra-hydro-furan mol-ecule is disordered over two orientations about a pseudo-twofold axis with refined occupancy ratio 0.718?(4):0.282?(4). In the crystal, C-H?O hydrogen bonds link mol-ecules of the di-hydro-furan-2,5-dione derivative into chains parallel to the b axis and arranged into layers stacked along [100] alternating with hydrogen-bonded tetra-hydro-furan layers.

Project description:The title compound, [Na(μ-C6F5BH3)(C4H8O)2]2, represents a dimeric structure of sodium and organoborohydride, located about a centre of inversion. The Na⋯B distances of 2.7845 (19) and 2.7494 (18) Å were apparently longer than the Li⋯B distances (2.403-2.537 Å) of the lithium organotri-hydro-borates in the previous reports. Moreover, an inter-action between the sodium atom and one fluorine atom on the 2-position of the benzene ring is observed [Na-F = 2.6373 (12) Å]. In the crystal, the dimeric mol-ecules are stacked along the b-axis via a π-π inter-action between the benzene rings.

Two intra-molecular N-H?O hydrogen bonds are present, each of which generates an S(6) ring. In the crystal, N-H?O hydrogen bonds lead to a mol-ecular chain running along the b axis. The tetra-hydro-furan solvent mol-ecule is disordered over two orientations in a 0.561?(11):0.439?(11) ratio.

Project description:In the crystalline state of the title solvate, C18H13NO3·C4H8O, hydrogen-bonding inter-actions between hydroxyl groups on a phenoxazine backbone and the tetra-hydro-furan solvent are observed that suggest the ability for this compound to act as a chelating ligand. The O⋯O donor-acceptor distances for this hydrogen bonding are 2.7729 (15) and 2.7447 (15) Å. The three-ring backbone of the phenoxazine bends out of planarity by 18.92 (3)°, as computed using mean planes that encompass each half of the three-ring structure, with the central N and O atoms forming the line of flexion. In the crystal, a π-π stacking arrangement exists between inversion-related mol-ecules, with a centroid-to-centroid distance of 3.6355 (11) Å. In the disordered tetra-hydro-furan solvate, all atoms except oxygen were modeled over two positions, with occupancies of 0.511 (8) and 0.489 (8).

Project description:The title mol-ecule, C(18)H(20)O(3), is a furan-oid lignan extracted from the leaves of Larrea tridentata. The relative absolute configuration for the four chiral centers was established, showing that this compound is 4-epi-larreatricin, which has been previously reported in the literature. The mol-ecule displays noncrystallographic C(2) symmetry, with the methyl and phenol substituents alternating above and below the mean plane of the furan ring. The conformation of this ring is described by the pseudorotation phase angle P = 171.3° and the maximum out-of-plane pucker ?(m) = 37.7°. These parameters indicate that the furan ring adopts the same conformation as the ribose residues in B-DNA. The packing is dominated by inter-molecular O-H?O hydrogen bonds. The phenol hy-droxy groups form chains in the [110] direction and these chains inter-act via O-H?O(furan) contacts.

Project description:The asymmetric unit of the title compound, C15H16N2·C4H8O, contains two amidine mol-ecules (A and B) with slightly different conformations and two tetra-hydro-furan (THF) solvent mol-ecules. In the amidine mol-ecules, the di-methyl-phenyl ring and the NH2 group lie to the same side of the N=C bond and the dihedral angles between the aromatic rings are 54.25 (7) (mol-ecule A) and 58.88 (6) ° (mol-ecule B). In the crystal, N-H⋯N hydrogen bonds link the amidine mol-ecules into [100] C(4) chains of alternating A and B mol-ecules. Both amidine mol-ecules form an N-H⋯O hydrogen bond to an adjacent THF solvent mol-ecule.

Project description:The Ru(II) atom in the title compound, [RuCl(2)(C(15)H(10))(C(18)H(15)P)(2)]·2C(4)H(8)O, has a distorted square-pyramidal conformation. The P and Cl atoms are at the base of the pyramid and the Ru-C(indenyl-idene) bond is in the axial position. The two Cl ligands and the two phosphane ligands are in trans positions. The Cl-Ru-Cl and P-Ru-P angles are 157.71?(2) and 166.83?(2)°, respectively. The two independent tetra-hydro-furan (THF) solvent mol-ecules are disordered. One THF mol-ecule was refined using a split-atom model. The second THF mol-ecule was accounted for by using program PLATON/SQUEEZE [Spek (2009 ?). Acta Cryst. D65, 148-155]. The molecular conformation shows three intramolecular C-H?Cl contacts and two C-H?? interactions while the crystal packing features an intermolecular C-H?Cl contact and two very weak intermolecular C-H?? contacts.

Project description:In the cation of the title salt, C4H10NO(+)·C24H20B(-)·C2H3N, the C-N bond lengths are 1.2864 (16), 1.4651 (17) and 1.4686 (16) Å, indicating double- and single-bond character, respectively. The C-O bond length of 1.2978 (15) Å shows double-bond character, pointing towards charge delocalization within the NCO plane of the iminium ion. C-H⋯π inter-actions are present between the methine H atom and two of the phenyl rings of the tetra-phenyl-borate ion. The latter forms an aromatic pocket in which the cation is embedded. The iminium ion is further connected through a C-H⋯N hydrogen bond to the aceto-nitrile mol-ecule. This leads to the formation of a two-dimensional supramolecular pattern along the bc plane.
