ABSTRACT: An efficient and facile method for the synthesis of trifluoromethylthiolated 5-hydroxy-1H-pyrazole derivatives by reaction of pyrazolin-5-ones with trifluoromethanesulfenamide (PhNHSCF3) in the presence of BiCl3 was developed.
