ABSTRACT: In the title compound, C₇H₇Br₂N, the C-C-C bond angles of the benzene ring are notably distorted and two short intamolecular N-H⋯Br contacts occur. In the crystal, the mol-ecules are linked by N-H⋯N hydrogen bonds to generate C(2) chains propagating in the [100] direction.

Project description:In the title compound, 4C(5)H(8)N(3) (+)·2C(8)H(4)O(4) (2-)·C(5)H(7)N(3), the asymmetric unit consists of two protonated diamino-pyridine cations, one phthalate anion and one half of a diamino-pyridine mol-ecule, which has twofold rotation symmetry and is disordered over two positions with a site-occupancy ratio of 0.534 (3):0.466 (3). In the disordered structure, both pyridine rings are essentially planar, with maximum deviations of 0.011 (2) and 0.006 (2) Å, and these two rings are inclined to one another at a dihedral angle of 79.86 (10)°. In the crystal structure, inter-molecular N-H⋯O and C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds link the ions and mol-ecules into a three-dimensional network. The structure is further stabilized by C-H⋯π inter-actions.

Project description:The title compound, C(29)H(35)N(3), is the product of the condensation reaction between 2,6-diacetyl-pyridine and 2,6-diethyl-aniline. In the mol-ecule, the pyridyl ring is coplanar with the imino functional groups [torsion angles in the range 177.1 (2)-179.9 (2)°. The two 2,6-diethyl-substituted benzene rings are approximately perpendicular to the ethyl-idenepyridine central core, the dihedral angles being 88.7 (1) and 88.4 (1)°, respectively.

Project description:The title mol-ecule, C(7)H(15)NO(5), the major product from selective enzymatic oxidation followed by hydrogeno-lysis of the corresponding azido-heptitol, was found by X-ray crystallography to exisit in a chair conformation with three axial hydroxyl groups. One of the hydroxymethyl groups is disordered over two sets of sites in a 0.590 (3):0.410 (3) ratio. In the crystal, O-H⋯O, O-H⋯(O,O), O-H⋯N and N-H⋯O hydrogen bonding occurs.

Project description:The title salt, C(21)H(27)N(2) (+)·Cl(-) resulted from the condensation between 2,6-dimethyl-aniline and acetyl-acetone in acidified ethanol. The bulky cation is stabilized in a β-imino-enamine tautomeric form, and presents a W-shaped conformation. The benzene rings are arranged almost parallel, with a dihedral angle of 6.58 (4)° between the mean planes. Both N-H groups in the cation form strong hydrogen bonds with two symmetry-related chloride anions. The resulting supra-molecular structure is a one dimensional polymer running along [001], alternating cations and anions. The π-π inter-action observed in the mol-ecule, characterized by a centroid-centroid separation of 4.298 (4) Å, is thus extended to the chains, with separations of 5.222 (4) Å between benzene rings of neighbouring cations in the crystal.

In the crystal, N-H⋯O-C and N-H⋯O=C hydrogen bonds are formed between the amide group and the two O-atom acceptors of the lactone group, forming a chain along [001].
