ABSTRACT: The structure of the title compound, C(7)H(6)N(6), consists of almost planar mol-ecules with C-N distances of 1.429?(2) and 1.428?(2)?Å. The H atoms of the methyl group are disordered over two sites with occupancy factors of 0.69 and 0.31. The azide groups show typical geometry for covalently bound azides.

Project description:The crystal packing of the title compound, C(13)H(19)NO·0.33C(7)H(8), shows a channel at [001], which contains grossly disordered toluene solvent mol-ecules. The angle between the benzene ring and the mean plane of the formamide group is 71.1 (1)°. The amide groups of neighbouring mol-ecules are connected by N-H⋯O hydrogen bonds, forming 2(1) helical chains propagating along [001]. Mol-ecules are also connected by weak inter-molecular C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds, forming 6(1) helices.

Crystal structure and Hirshfeld surface analysis of 2,6-di-iodo-4-nitro-toluene and 2,4,6-tri-bromo-toluene.

Project description:The title compounds, 2,6-di-iodo-4-nitro-toluene (DINT, C7H5I2NO2) and 2,4,6-tri-bromo-toluene (TBT, C7H5Br3,), are tris-ubstituted toluene mol-ecules. Both mol-ecules are planar, only the H atoms of the methyl group, and the nitro group in DINT, deviate significantly from the plane of the benzene ring. In the crystals of both compounds, mol-ecules stack in columns up the shortest crystallographic axis, viz. the a axis in DINT and the b axis in TBT. In the crystal of DINT, mol-ecules are linked via short N-O⋯I contacts, forming chains along [100]. In TBT, mol-ecules are linked by C-H⋯Br hydrogen bonds, forming chains along [010]. Hirshfeld surface analysis was used to explore the inter-molecular contacts in the crystals of both DINT and TBT.

Project description:In the title compound, [Co(N(3))(2)(C(6)H(6)N(4))(2)], the Co(II) atom lies on a centre of inversion and is bonded to two azide ions and two bidentate 2,2'-biimidizole ligands, giving a slightly distorted octa-hedral CoN(6) coordination geometry. In the crystal structure, inter-molecular N-H⋯N hydrogen bonds exist between the 2,2'-biimidizole ligands and the azide ions, linking the complexes into sheets.

Project description:In the title compound, [Fe(N(3))(2)(C(6)H(6)N(4))(2)], the Fe atom is bonded to two azide ions located in axial positions and to two equatorially positioned bidentate biimidazole ligands, forming a slightly distorterd octa-hedron. The non-H atoms of the equatorial plane are coplanar, with a mean deviation of 0.0355 (2) Å. The Fe(II) cation lies on an inversion centre. Thus, the asymmetric unit comprises one half-mol-ecule.

Project description:In the title solvated salt, C9H14N(+)·Cl(-)·C19H24O2·0.5C7H7, two mol-ecules of 4,4'-(propane-2,2-di-yl)bis-(2,6-di-methyl-phenol) are linked via O-H⋯Cl hydrogen bonds to two chloride ions, each of which is also engaged in N-H⋯Cl hydrogen bonding to a 4-tert-butyl-pyridinium cation, giving a cyclic hydrogen-bonded entity centred at 1/2, 1/2, 1/2. The toluene solvent mol-ecule resides in the lattice and resides on an inversion centre; the disorder of the methyl group requires it to have a site-occupancy factor of 0.5. No crystal packing channels are observed.

The benzene rings bonded to the the N atoms are essentially parallel, forming a dihedral angle of 0.80?(11)°, and these rings form dihedral angles of 87.49?(9) and 88.25?(10)° with the mean plane of the acenaphthene ring system. Project description:The title compound, C30H39N3·0.5C7H8, is a symmetrically N,N'-disubstituted aryl-amidine containing a 4-pyridyl substituent on the carbon atom of the N-C-N linkage and bulky 2,6-diiso-propyl-phenyl groups on the nitro-gen atoms. It crystallizes in the Z-anti configuration and its amidine C-N bonds present amine [1.368 (1) Å] and imine [1.286 (1) Å] features. Intra-molecular hydrogen bonds are present in the structure together with inter-molecular N-H⋯N and C-H⋯N inter-actions linking the mol-ecules in chains along the a- and c-axis directions.

The Ni(II) ion is coordinated in a distorted octa-hedral environment by two azide ligands in a trans configuration. The methanol ligands are in a cis configuration and their hy-droxy groups form intra-molecular O-H?(N,N) hydrogen bonds with the azide ligands.
