ABSTRACT: The title compound, C₂₄H₂₀N₂O₄·H₂O, crystallizes with half a mol-ecule of 2-(naphthalen-2-yl-oxy)-N'-[2-(naphthalen-2-yl-oxy)acet-yl]acetohydrazide and half a water mol-ecule in the asymmetric unit. In the crystal, mol-ecules form planes parallel to (011). Two mol-ecules are connected by water mol-ecules via O-H⋯O and N-H⋯O hydrogen bonds.

Project description:In the title compound, C(13)H(13)N(3)O, the tetra-hydro-benzene ring adopts a half-boat (envelope) conformation. The mean plane of the tetra-hydro-naphthalene ring system forms a dihedral angle of 9.56?(6)° with the mean plane of the cyano-acetohydrazide group. In the crystal, inversion dimers linked by pairs of N-H?O hydrogen bonds generate R(2) (2)(8) loops. The dimers are connected by C-H?N hydrogen bonds into a chain propagating along [101]. The crystal packing also features C-H?? inter-actions.

Project description:In the crystal structure of the title compound, C8H8N4O5·H2O, the organic and lattice water mol-ecules are linked together via N-H⋯O and O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds. A C-H⋯O inter-action is also observed between the organic mol-ecules. These hydrogen bonds and inter-actions lead to the formation of a three-dimensional network. An intra-molecular N-H⋯O hydrogen bond also occurs. The dihedral angle between the acetyl group and the almost planar hydrazide moiety [maximum deviation from the least-squares plane is 0.209 (2) Å for one of the nitro O atoms] is 88.5 (3)°.

Project description:In the title compound, C(10)H(12)N(2)O(3)·H(2)O, the Schiff base mol-ecule is approximately planar [within 0.189 (1) Å]. The inter-planar angle between the benzene and acetohydrazide planes is 8.50 (10)°. In the crystal, mol-ecules are linked into a three-dimensional network by strong and weak O-H⋯O and strong N-H⋯O hydrogen bonds. The hydr-oxy H atom deviates from the 4-hydr-oxy-3-methoxy-phenyl mean plane by 0.319 (2) Å, probably due to the involvement of this H atom in the O-H⋯O hydrogen bond. The weak O-H⋯O hydrogen bond is involved in a bifurcated hydrogen bond with R(1) (2)(4) motif. A weak C-H⋯π inter-action is also present.

The crystal packing is stabilized by N-H?O hydrogen bonds, which give rise to a one-dimensional structure along [001], and ?-? inter-actions between the imidazole rings and between the benzene rings of the 2-(naphthalen-1-yl)acetate ligands [centroid-centroid distances = 3.761?(3) and 3.728?(4)?Å]. The contribution of the electron density associated with the disordered water molecules was not considerd in the final structure model.
