Bis[?-2-(3-pyridylmeth-yl)-2H-benzo-triazole]bis-[nitratosilver(I)].

ABSTRACT: In the title centrosymmetric binuclear Ag(I) complex, [Ag(2)(NO(3))(2)(C(12)H(10)N(4))(2)], each Ag(I) center is coordinated by one pyridine and one benzotriazole N-donor atom of two inversion-related 2-(3-pyridylmeth-yl)-2H-benzotriazole (L) ligands, and an O atom of a coordinated NO(3) (-) anion in a distorted T-shaped geometry. This forms a unique box-like cyclic dimer with an intra-molecular non-bonding Ag?Ag separation of 6.327?(2)?Å. Weak inter-molecular Ag?O(nitrate) inter-actions [2.728?(4) and 2.646?(3)?Å] link the binuclear units, forming a two-dimensional network parallel to (100). Inter-molecular C-H?O hydrogen-bonding inter-actions, involving the L ligands and the coordinated NO(3) (-) anions, link the sheets, forming a three-dimensional framework.

Project description:The title compound, [Cu(C(6)H(8)N(2))(C(13)H(15)N(3))](ClO(4))(2), is a mixed ligand complex with the Cu(II) atom coordinated by (6-methyl-2-pyridylmeth-yl)(2-pyridylmeth-yl)amine, acting as a tridentate ligand, and 2-(2-amino-meth-yl)pyridine, as a bidentate ligand, leading to an N(5) square-pyramidal geometry. The amine H atoms are involved in hydrogen bonding to the perchlorate O atoms and there are extensive but weak inter-molecular C-H⋯O inter-actions in the crystal structure. The perchlorate ions are each disordered over two positions, with site occupancies of 0.601 (8):0.399 (8) and 0.659 (11):0.341 (11).

Project description:The asymmetric unit of the title compound, C(18)H(20)N(2)O(4), contains one half-mol-ecule. The mol-ecule lies on an inversion centre and is roughly planar, the chains between the two pyridine rings being only slightly twisted, with torsion angles ranging from 170.9?(1) to 177.2?(1)°. Weak C-H?O hydrogen bonds result in the formation of a three-dimensional network.

Project description:The title compound, C19H17N3O3S (I), was prepared by a [3 + 2]cyclo-addition azide condensation reaction using sodium azide and l-proline as a Lewis base catalyst. N-Methyl-ation of compound (I) using CH3I gave compound (II), C20H19N3O3S. The benzo-thio-phene ring systems in (I) and (II) are almost planar, with r.m.s deviations from the mean plane = 0.0205?(14) in (I) and 0.016?(2)?Å in (II). In (I) and (II), the triazole rings make dihedral angles of 32.68?(5) and 10.43?(8)°, respectively, with the mean planes of the benzo-thio-phene ring systems. The trimeth-oxy phenyl rings make dihedral angles with the benzo-thio-phene rings of 38.48?(4) in (I) and 60.43?(5)° in (II). In the crystal of (I), the mol-ecules are linked into chains by N-H?O hydrogen bonds with R (2) 1(5) ring motifs. After the N-methyl-ation of structure (I), no hydrogen-bonding inter-actions were observed for structure (II). The crystal structure of (II) has a minor component of disorder that corresponds to a 180° flip of the benzo-thio-phene ring system [occupancy ratio 0.9363?(14):0.0637?(14)].

Project description:The Hg atom in the title complex, [HgCl(2)(C(12)H(13)N(3))], adopts a square-pyramidal geometry, being ligated by three N atoms of the tridentate bis-(2-pyridylmeth-yl)amine ligand and two Cl atoms, with one of the latter occupying the apical position. Disorder is noted in the amine portion of the ligand and this was modelled over two sites, with the major component having a site-occupancy factor of 0.794?(14).

Project description:In the title compound, [Cu(ClO(4))(2)(C(12)H(13)N(3))(C(2)H(3)N)], the Cu(II) atom is six-coordinate in a Jahn-Teller distorted octahedral geometry, with coordination by the tridentate chelating ligand, an acetonitrile mol-ecule, and two axial perchlorate anions. The tridentate ligand bis-(2-pyridylmeth-yl)amine chelates meridionally and equatorially while an acetonitrile mol-ecule is coordinated at the fourth equatorial site. The two perchlorate anions are disordered with site occupancy factors of 0.72/0.28. The amine H is involved in intra-molecular hydrogen bonding to the perchlorate O atoms and there are extensive but weak inter-molecular C-H?O inter-actions.

Project description:The title coordination polymer, [CuCl(2)(C(8)H(8)N(4))(2)](n), arose from a layer-separated diffusion synthesis at room temperature. The Cu atom (site symmetry ) is coordinated by two chloride ions and four N atoms (two from triazole rings and two from pyridyl rings) in a distorted trans-CuCl(2)N(4) octa-hedral arrangement. The bridging 1-(4-pyridylmeth-yl)-1H-1,2,4-triazole ligands [dihedral angle between the triazole and pyridine rings = 68.08?(8)°] result in a two-dimensional 4(4) sheet structure in the crystal.

Project description:The title compound, C20H23N3O6·CH3OH, was synthesized by [3 + 2] cyclo-addition of (Z)-2,3-bis-(3,4,5-tri-meth-oxy-phen-yl)acrylo-nitrile with sodium azide and ammonium chloride in DMF/water. The central nitro-gen of the triazole ring is protonated. The dihedral angles between the triazole ring and the 3,4,5-tri-meth-oxy-phenyl ring planes are 34.31?(4) and 45.03?(5)°, while that between the 3,4,5-tri-meth-oxy-phenyl rings is 51.87?(5)°. In the crystal, the mol-ecules, along with two methanol solvent mol-ecules are linked into an R (4) 4(10) centrosymmetric dimer by N-H?O and O-H?N hydrogen bonds.

The PF(6) (-) anion is disordered over three different positions with occupancies of 0.284?(6), 0.354?(8) and 0.362?(9).
