ABSTRACT: In the title compound, C(18)H(17)N(3), the two pyridyl rings make a dihedral angle of 54.55?(13)°. The dihedral angles between the phenyl ring and the two pyridyl rings are 73.61?(13) and 81.40?(13)°. In the crystal, weak inter-molecular C-H?? inter-actions are observed.

Project description:The title compound, [Cu(C(6)H(8)N(2))(C(13)H(15)N(3))](ClO(4))(2), is a mixed ligand complex with the Cu(II) atom coordinated by (6-methyl-2-pyridylmeth-yl)(2-pyridylmeth-yl)amine, acting as a tridentate ligand, and 2-(2-amino-meth-yl)pyridine, as a bidentate ligand, leading to an N(5) square-pyramidal geometry. The amine H atoms are involved in hydrogen bonding to the perchlorate O atoms and there are extensive but weak inter-molecular C-H⋯O inter-actions in the crystal structure. The perchlorate ions are each disordered over two positions, with site occupancies of 0.601 (8):0.399 (8) and 0.659 (11):0.341 (11).

An intra-molecular N-H⋯O inter-action is present. Project description:The asymmetric unit of the title compound, C(18)H(20)N(2)O(4), contains one half-mol-ecule. The mol-ecule lies on an inversion centre and is roughly planar, the chains between the two pyridine rings being only slightly twisted, with torsion angles ranging from 170.9 (1) to 177.2 (1)°. Weak C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds result in the formation of a three-dimensional network.

Project description:The Hg atom in the title complex, [HgCl(2)(C(12)H(13)N(3))], adopts a square-pyramidal geometry, being ligated by three N atoms of the tridentate bis-(2-pyridylmeth-yl)amine ligand and two Cl atoms, with one of the latter occupying the apical position. Project description:In the title compound, [Cu(ClO(4))(2)(C(12)H(13)N(3))(C(2)H(3)N)], the Cu(II) atom is six-coordinate in a Jahn-Teller distorted octahedral geometry, with coordination by the tridentate chelating ligand, an acetonitrile mol-ecule, and two axial perchlorate anions. The tridentate ligand bis-(2-pyridylmeth-yl)amine chelates meridionally and equatorially while an acetonitrile mol-ecule is coordinated at the fourth equatorial site. The two perchlorate anions are disordered with site occupancy factors of 0.72/0.28. The amine H is involved in intra-molecular hydrogen bonding to the perchlorate O atoms and there are extensive but weak inter-molecular C-H⋯O inter-actions.

The imidazole and pyridine rings form dihedral angles of 82.28 (5)° and 11.87 (7)°, respectively, with the anthracene ring system. The crystal packing is stabilized by π-π inter-actions between the pyridine ring and the central ring of anthracene, with a ring centroid-centroid distance of 3.684 (3) Å. The PF(6) (-) anion is disordered over three different positions with occupancies of 0.284 (6), 0.354 (8) and 0.362 (9).
