ABSTRACT: In the title compound, (C(6)H(20)N(4))(2)[Ge(2)S(6)], the dimeric [Ge(2)S(6)](4-) anion is formed by two edge-sharing GeS(4) tetra-hedral units. The average terminal and bridging Ge-S bond lengths are 2.158?(14) and 2.276?(6)?Å, respectively. The anions and the diprotonated ammonium cations are organized into a three-dimensional network by N-H?S and N-H?N hydrogen bonds.

Project description:The asymmetric unit of the title salt, 2C(4)H(12)NO(+)·C(14)H(8)O(4)S(2) (2-), contains an eth-yl(2-hydr-oxy)aminium cation and half a 2,2'-disulfanediyldibenzoate anion, with the latter disposed about a twofold axis. The cation is a straight chain with the exception of the terminal hydr-oxy group [the N-C-C-O torsion angle is 66.5?(2)°]. A twisted conformation is found for the anion [the C-S-S-C torsion angle is 91.51?(9)° and the dihedral angle between the rings is 81.01?(4)°]. A supra-molecular chain with base vector [101] and a tubular topology is formed in the crystal structure mediated by charge-assisted O-H?O(-) and N(+)-H?O(-) hydrogen bonding.

Project description:The asymmetric unit of the title compound, (C(6)H(20)N(4))(2)[Sn(2)S(6)], comprises half of a [Sn(2)S(6)](4-) anion and a diprotonated tris-(2-amino-eth-yl)amine cation. The anion lies on an inversion center, while the atoms of the cation occupy general positions. An intra-molecular N-H⋯N hydrogen bond is observed in the cation. In the crystal, strong N-H⋯S hydrogen bonding between the terminal sulfur atoms of the anion and the protonated amine N atoms of the cations result in a three-dimensional network.

Project description:The centrosymmetric dinuclear Cu(II) complex, [Cu(2)Cl(4)(C(24)H(21)N(5)O(4))(2)], was synthesized by the reaction of CuCl(2)·2H(2)O with the tripodal ligand 2,2'-[3-(1H-imid-azol-4-ylmeth-yl)-3-aza-pentane-1,5-di-yl]diphthalimide (L). Each of the Cu(II) ions is coordinated by two N atoms from the ligand, two bridging Cl atoms and one terminal Cl atom. The Cu(II) coordination can be best be described as a transition state between four- and five-coordination, since one of the bridging Cl atoms has a much longer Cu-Cl bond distance [2.7069 (13) Å] than the other [2.2630 (12) Å]. In addition, the Cu⋯Cu distance is 3.622 (1) Å. The three-dimensional structrure is generated by N-H⋯O, C-H⋯O and C-H⋯Cl hydrogen bonds and π-π inter-actions [centroid-centroid distances = 3.658 (4) and 4.020 (4) Å].

The pyrrole rings have an anti confirmation with respect to the cyclo-hexane moiety and the ethyl acetate groups have extended conformations. In the crystal, mol-ecules are linked by pairs of C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds forming chains, enclosing R 2 (2)(10) ring motifs with inversion symmetry, propagating parallel to the (101) plane.
