Trans-Tetra-kis[N-(adamantan-1-yl)pyridine-4-carboxamide]-dichlorido-manganese(II)-N-(adamantan-1-yl)pyridine-4-carboxamide (1/2).

ABSTRACT: The asymmetric unit of the title compound, [MnCl(2)(C(16)H(20)N(2)O)(4)]·2C(16)H(20)N(2)O, is composed of two coordinating N-(adamantan-1-yl)pyridine-4-carboxamide mol-ecules, one Cl(-) anion, an Mn(II) ion, lying on an inversion centre, and one free N-(adamantan-1-yl)pyridine-4-carboxamide mol-ecule. The distorted octa-hedral Mn environment comprises two terminal Cl atoms and four monodentate N atoms from four organic ligands. All the carbamoyl N atoms are involved in inter-molecular N-H?O hydrogen-bonding inter-actions which link the mol-ecules into a chain along the a axis.

Project description:The asymmetric unit of the title compound, [CuCl(2)(C(5)H(6)N(2))(4)]·H(2)O, contains two crystallographically independent complex mol-ecules and two water mol-ecules. The Cu(II) ion in each mol-ecule is six-coordinated in an elongated octa-hedral geometry, with the equatorial plane defined by four pyridine N atoms of four amino-pyridine ligands and the axial positions occupied by two Cl atoms. In the crystal structure, mol-ecules are linked into a three-dimensional framework by C-H⋯Cl, O-H⋯Cl, N-H⋯O, N-H⋯Cl and N-H⋯N hydrogen bonds and C/N-H⋯π inter-actions involving the pyridine rings.

Project description:The asymmetric unit of the title compound, [Mn(2)Cl(4)(C(30)H(36)N(6))], contains one-half of the formula unit; a centre of inversion is located at the mid-point of the mol-ecule. The two Mn(2+) ions are bridged by the dual tri-dentate N,N,N',N'-tetra-kis(2-pyridylmeth-yl)hexane-1,6-diamine ligand to form a dinuclear complex. Each Mn atom is five-coordinated in an approximately square-pyramidal geometry by three N atoms from the ligand and two Cl atoms. Inter-molecular ?-? inter-actions between adjacent pyridine rings with a centroid-centroid distance of 3.576?(2)?Å are reported.

Project description:The asymmetric unit of the title structure, [CoCl2(C3H11NOP)4][CoCl4]2, consists of one half of the trans-dichlorido-tetra-kis-[(di-methyl-phosphor-yl)methanaminium]cobalt(II) tetra-cation lying on an inversion center and one tetra-chloridocobaltate(II) dianion on a general position. Four O-coordinated cationic (di-methyl-phosphor-yl)methanaminium (dpmaH(+)) ligands occupy the equatorial coordination sites, whereas the chloride ligands occupy axial positions of the roughly o-cta-hedral coordination polyhedron of the cobalt metal center. Intra-molecular hydrogen bonds between the aminium groups and the O atom of the phosphoryl groups and additional hydrogen bonds between the aminium groups and the chloride ligands are present. Furthermore, four of the six H atoms not involved in intra-molecular bonding of each cobalt(II) tetra-cation form weak hydrogen bonds to four adjacent tetra-chloridocobaltate(II) counter-anions. By these inter-molecular hydrogen bonds, one-dimensional polymeric strands are formed along the b-axis direction. The hydrogen bonding is analyzed using the graph-set method and the structural similarity with dpmaHCl is discussed.

Project description:In the title manganese(III) complex, [MnCl(2)(C(10)H(24)N(4))]BF(4) or trans-[MnCl(2)(cyclam)]BF(4) (cyclam is the tetra-dentate amine ligand 1,4,8,11-tetra-azacyclo-tetra-deca-ne), the Mn(III) ions occupy the center of a distorted octa-hedron coordinated by all four ligand nitro-gen donors in the macrobicyclic cavity and two chloride ions occupy the axial positions. Intra-molecular hydrogen bonding involving the coordinated chloride ions and the hydrogen atoms of the cyclam ligand is observed. Inter-molecular hydrogen bonding involving the tetrafluoridoborate anion and hydrogen atoms of the cyclam ligand leads to an infinite one-dimensional chain along the a axis. The tetra-fluoridoborate and inorganic units are linked by N-H?F hydrogen bonds. The structure may be compared with those of analogous compounds [MnCl(2)(cyclam)]ClO(4) and [Mn(CN)(2)(cyclam)]ClO(4).

The central Ni(II) cation has a distorted octa-hedral N(4)O(2) coordination environment where a reverse torsion occurs between the two bridging ligands, whereas the two Ni(II) cations on the sides each adopt an N(2)O(2) square-planar coordination. Weak intra-molecular C-H?O and C-H?N inter-actions help to stabilize the mol-ecular structure. In the crystal, the lattice water mol-ecule links with the Ni(II) complex and dimethyl-formamide solvent mol-ecule via O-H?O hydrogen bonding.

Project description:The title compound, cis,fac-dichloridotetra-kis(dimethyl sulfoxide)-κ(3)S,κO-ruthenium(II), [RuCl(2)(C(2)H(6)OS)(4)], was obtained from newly synthesized ruthenium complexes of 3-amino-2-chloro-pyridine. The Ru atom has a distorted octa-hedral coordination with two cis-oriented chloride ligands and four dimethyl sulfoxide ligands. Three of the sulfoxide ligands are S-bonded in a fac configuration, while the fourth is O-bonded. The title compound represents a new, and fourth, polymorph of the complex. Two other monoclinic forms and an ortho-rhom-bic modification have been reported previously.
