ABSTRACT: Trained Immunity (TRIM) is the phenomenon whereby innate immune cells such as monocytes or macrophages undergo functional reprogramming after exposure to specific microbial or metabolic components. In this study, monocytes were trained with beta-glucan and then re-exposed to Mycobacterium tuberculosis.
