HOXD13 Suppresses Prostate Cancer Metastasis and BMP4-induced EMT by Inhibiting SMAD1
Ontology highlight
ABSTRACT: HOX genes regulate organ development and their abrrative expressions are also implicated in cancer progressions. It is a universal strategy for tumors to regain cell plasticity through disruption of Hox boundaries. Along with this clue, we identified HOXD13 as a pivotal component since HOXD13 deprivation alone is enough to induce more aggressive phenotypes in prostate cancer cells. Here we subjected HOXD13 manipulated prostate cancer cells (LNCaP) to HiSeq RNA-Seq to identify its target genes involved in the antitumor activity.
