Transcriptomic cell types of ventromedial hypothalamus in female mouse: 10x cells
Ontology highlight
ABSTRACT: The ventrolateral subdivision of the ventromedial hypothalamus (VMHvl) is essential for innate social behaviors including aggression and mating in female mice at different reproductive states. However, the female VMHvl transcriptomes in different reproducive states and their relationship behavioral functions are unknown. We performed single-cell RNA 10x sequencing and investigated correspondence between transcriptomic identity in different reproductive states and behavioral activation. Immediate early gene analysis from our Act-seq dataset identified that distinct T-types function in female aggression and mating behaviors.
