Histone butyrylation in the mouse intestine is mediated by the microbiota and associated with regulation of gene expression
Ontology highlight
ABSTRACT: We characterized the genomic localization of select histone modifications in mouse cecal intestinal epithelial cells (IECs), including butyrulation on histone H3 lysine 27 (H3K27bu), as well as H3K27ac, H3K4me3, and H3K27me3. We also analyzed the response of IECs to different treatments of ampicillin and tributyrin (an analog of butyrate) by RNA-seq.
