ABSTRACT: Comparison of transcriptome data in fed and fasted conditions of zebrafish (Danio rerio) and rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss) anterior intestine using the serial analysis of gene expression (SAGE) method was done in a strategy to identify key regulated genes at the transcript level and to allow the identification of activated/deactivated pathways after feeding.
