Project description:To understand the the effect of antagomir-17 treatment on human endothelial cells derived from human umbilical cord blood (UCB) CD34+ hematopoietic stem cells, we have employed mRNA sequencing. The antagomiR-17 used in this study was purchased from Dharmacon and cell transfection was performed using Lipofectamine RNAiMAx from Life Technologies. Scramble antagomiR from Ambion was used as control. Cells were transfected with antagomiR-17 or scrambled antagomiR for 48 hours. After 48 h, the cells were collected, RNA was isolated and RNA samples were shipped to Exiqon Services, Denmark for mRNA sequencing. All sequencing experiments (RNA integrity measurements, library preparation and next generation sequencing) were conducted at Exiqon Services, Denmark.
Project description:We report here with this study the genome-wide DNA methylation level analysis at single-nucleotide resolution by Next Gen bisulfite-sequencing using the Methyl-MaxiSeq platform from Zymo Research Services (Irvine, CA) in plants overexpressing the gene 5-Methyltetrahydropteroyltriglutamate Homocysteine Methyltransferase1 (METS1) comparatively to Col-0 plants both basal conditions and following Pseudomonas syringae DC3000 infection.
Project description:The focus of current study is to investigate the effect of developing sevoflurane exposure on lncRNA profiles and molecular signaling involvement in neurotoxicity. An Expression Microarray assay (V3.0) and data analysis services were provided by Arraystar Inc. (Rockville, MD) to assess and compare the global abundance of 27,427 lncRNAs and 18,855 mRNAs in the hippocampi of mice exposed to either sevoflurane or normal air controls.
Project description:cDNA and cRNA hybridization technologies have different, probe-specific sensitivities. We used samples from an etanercept trial (GSE11903) to explore in a real-life setting the uniqueness of each platform.
Project description:We performed transcriptomic studies using microarray assays and conducted bioinformatics analyses to identify signaling pathways associated with ethanol-induced brain injury in cerebral organoids A human message RNA (mRNA) Expression Microarray assay (V4.0) and data analysis services were provided by Arraystar Inc. (Rockville, MD) to assess and compare the global abundance of 17,195 mRNAs across iPSC-derived 2-month cerebral organoids treated with and without ethanol.
Project description:Bumblebees (Hymenoptera: Apidae) are important pollinating insects that play pivotal roles in crop production and natural ecosystem services. To achieve a comprehensive profile of accessible chromatin regions and provide clues for all possible regulatory elements in the bumblebee genome, we did ATAC-seq for Bombus terrestris samples derived from its four developmental stages: egg, larva, pupa, and adult, respectively. The sequencing reads of ATAC-seq were mapped to B. terrestris reference genome, and its accessible chromatin regions were identified and characterized using bioinformatic methods. Our study will provide important resources not only for uncovering regulatory elements in the bumblebee genome, but also for expanding our understanding of bumblebee biology.
