Transcription profiling of Medicago truncatula seeds at 14, 16, 20, 24, and 36 days post pollination


ABSTRACT: This experiment investigates a time series of seed development in Medicago truncatula. Time points 14, 16, 20, 24, and 36 days post pollination are hybridized against a 12 days post pollination reference stage.

A comparative study of proteome and transcriptome changes during Medicago truncatula (cultivar Jemalong) seed development has been carried out. Transcript and protein profiles were parallel across the time course for 50% of the comparisons made, but divergent patterns were also observed, indicative of post-transcriptional events.
