Poly[bis-(μ(2)-formato-κO:O')(quinoxaline-κN)copper(II)].

ABSTRACT: In the polymeric title copper(II) compound, [Cu(CHO(2))(2)(C(8)H(6)N(2))](n), both formato ligands are O-bidentate anions and act as bridging ligands, creating a planar polymeric arrangement. The slightly distorted square-pyramidal coordination around Cu(II) comprises four O atoms from two different formate anions as the base and a quinoxaline mol-ecule in the apical position.

The nickel(II) cations are connected by μ-1,3-bridging formato anions and N,N'-bridging pyrazine ligands into a three dimensional coordination network. Project description:In the title compound, [Cu(CHO(2))(C(12)H(8)N(2))(2)]CHO(2)·6H(2)O, the Cu atom is coordinated in a distorted trigonal-bipyramidal fashion by an O atom of the formate ligand and four N atoms of two phenanthroline ligands with Cu-O and Cu-N distances of 2.020 (3) and 1.978 (3)-2.177 (3) Å, respectively. Hydrogen bonding O-H⋯O between water molecules and between water anions as well as π-π inter-actions [centroid-centroid distances between phen rings = 3.38 (7) and 3.40 (5) Å] are responsible for the supra-molecular assembly.

Project description:In the crystal structure of the title compound, [Cu(HCO(2))(C(7)H(8)N(4))(2)]ClO(4), the Cu(II) ion is octa-hedrally coordinated by one bidentate formate ion and two bidentate bis-(1H-pyrazol-1-yl)methane ligands. There are C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds and π-π inter-actions [centroid-centroid distance = 3.487 (3) Å] in the crystal structure. The perchlorate anion is disordered over two positions with an occupancy ratio of 0.628 (9):0.372 (9).

Project description:In the title compound, [Cu(C(8)H(4)O(4))(C(16)H(20)N(4))(H(2)O)](n), square-pyramidally coordinated Cu(II) ions are linked into [Cu(H(2)O)(isophthalate)](n) coordination polymer chains by isophthalate dianions. These chains are connected into undulating [Cu(H(2)O)(isophthalate)(3-bpmp)](n) [3-bmp is bis-(3-pyridylmeth-yl)piperazine] layers by 3-bpmp tethering ligands. The pseudo three-dimensional structure of the title compound is fostered by inter-layer O-H⋯O hydrogen bonding between the aqua ligands and unligated isophthalate O atoms. The selected crystal was non-merohedrally twinned. Only reflections from the major twin component were used in the solution and refinement.

Project description:The title compound, [Cu(C(2)O(4))(C(5)H(8)N(2))(2)](n), is composed of one-dimensional linear chains running parallel to the a axis. In the chain, trans-[Cu(imidazole)(2)](2+) units are sequentially bridged by bis-bidentate oxalate ligands, resulting in an octa-hedral CuO(4)N(2) donor set. The Cu⋯Cu separation through the oxalate bridge is 5.620 (5) Å. Both the Cu atoms and the C-C bond of the oxalate bridge are bis-ected by inversion centres.

Project description:In the structure of the title compound, [Cu(2)(NO(2))(4)(C(5)H(8)N(2))(4)], the asymmetric unit consists of two moieties containing one Cu ion, two nitrite ions and two 1-ethyl-1H-imidazole mol-ecules associated via weak Cu-O inter-actions. Each Cu(II) atom displays an elongted square-pyramidal CuN(2)O(3) coordination geometry with a slight tetra-hedral distortion in the basal plane. The dimeric units are linked into a three-dimensional network by C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds.

The Cu(II) and water O atoms lie on a twofold rotation axis, and the benzene-1,4-dicarboxyl-ate ligand lies on an inversion center. The water O atom occupies the apical position and the basal plane is occupied by two O atoms and two N atoms. Each benzene-1,4-dicarboxyl-ate anion acts as a bis-monodentate ligand that binds two Cu(II) cations, forming an infinite chain extending parallel to [001]. The N(6)-benzyl-adenine ligands are attached on both sides of the chain. Neighboring chains are further inter-connected into the resulting three-dimensional supra-molecular architecture via O-H⋯O, N-H⋯O and N-H⋯N hydrogen bonds.

The chains are linked into layers by O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds. The Cu and water O atoms lie on special positions of site symmetry 2.
