Tetra-kis(triphenyl-arsine)copper(I) hexa-fluoridophosphate.

ABSTRACT: In the crystal structure of the title compound, [Cu(C(18)H(15)As)(4)]PF(6), the Cu atom is coordinated by four As atoms of triphenyl-arsine ligands in a tetra-hedral geometry. The complex cation is located on a crystallographic threefold axis. Both PF(6) (-) anions are located on special positions of site symmetry . The Cu-As bond of the independent arsine ligand is shorter than the Cu-As bonds of the three symmetry-related arsine ligands.

Project description:In the title compound, [Li(CH(3)CN)(4)]PF(6)·CH(3)CN, the asymmetric unit consists of three independent tetra-hedral [Li(CH(3)CN)(4)](+) cations, three uncoordinated PF(6) (-) anions and three uncoordinated CH(3)CN solvent mol-ecules. The three anions are disordered over two sites through a rotation along one of the F-P-F axes. The relative occupancies of the two sites for the F atoms are 0.643?(16):0.357?(16), 0.677?(10):0.323?(10) and 0.723?(13):0.277?(13). The crystal used was a racemic twin, with approximately equal twin components.

Project description:In the title compound [Ru(2)(C(15)H(11)N(3))(2)(C(24)H(16)N(6))](PF(6))(4)·4CH(3)CN, two of the counter-ions and one of the solvent mol-ecules are disordered with occupancies for the major components between 0.57 (2) and 0.64 (1). The structure of the dinuclear tetracation exhibits significant distortion from planarity in the bridging 2,3,5,6-tetra-kis-(pyridin-2-yl)pyrazine (tppz) ligand, which has a saddle-like geometry with an average dihedral angle of 42.96 (18)° between adjacent pyridine rings. The metal-ligand coordination environment is nearly equivalent for the two Ru(II) atoms, which have a distorted octa-hedral geometry due to the restricted bite angle [157.57 (13)-159.28 (12)°] of their two mer-arranged tridendate ligands [2,2':6',2''-terpyridine (tpy) and tppz] orthogonal to each other. At the peripheral tpy ligands, the average Ru-N bond distance is 2.072 (4) Å for the outer N atoms trans to each other (N(outer)) and 1.984 (1) Å for the central N atoms (N(central)). At the bridging tppz ligand, the average metal-ligand distances are significantly shorter [2.058 (4) Å for Ru-N(outer) and 1.965 (1) Å for Ru-N(central)] as a result of both the geometric constraints and the stronger π-acceptor ability of the pyrazine-centered bridge. The dihedral angle between the two tpy planes is 27.11 (6)°. The intra-molecular linear distance between the two Ru atoms is 6.6102 (7) Å.

Project description:In the title compound, [Ir(C(18)H(15)P)(2)(CO)(3)]PF(6)·CH(3)OH, the Ir(I) atom is coordinated by two triphenyl-phosphine ligands in axial sites and three carbonyl ligands in the equatorial plane of a fairly regular trigonal bipyramid: the equatorial C-Ir-C angles range from 115.45 (9) to 126.42 (10)°. The small deviations from the ideal tetra-hedral geometry around the P atoms are illustrated by C-P-C angles ranging from 104.08 (9) to 106.46 (9)°. In the crystal, the mol-ecules are linked by weak C-H⋯F, C-H⋯O and C-H⋯π inter-actions.

Project description:The title complex, [Ag(C(18)H(15)P)(4)]BF(4), was prepared by the reaction of silver(I) tetra-fluorido-borate and triphenyl-phosphane in the presence of 1,2-bis-(pyridin-2-yl)ethyl-ene. The Ag(I) atom is tetra-hedrally coordinated by four P atoms from triphenyl-phosphane (PPh(3)) ligands. Due to symmetry, the tetra-fluorido-borate anion is disordered over three positions (each with one third occupancy). The tetra-fluorido-borate anion does not coordinate to the Ag(I) atom.

Project description:In the title compound, hexa-?(2)-bromido-?(4)-oxo-tetra-kis{[3-(1-methyl-2-pyrrolidin-yl)pyridine-?N]copper(II)}, [Cu(4)Br(6)O(C(10)H(14)N(2))(4)], the four Cu atoms are tetra-hedrally arranged around the O atom at the cluster center. The Cu and coordinated N atoms lie along directions which correspond to four of the eight threefold axial directions of a regular octa-hedron. Each Cu atom lies at the center of a trigonal bipyramid, with the O atom and the pyridine N atom of a nicotine ligand in the axial positions and three Br atoms in the equatorial positions. Average bond distances are: Cu-N = 1.979?(8), Cu-O = 1.931?(6), Cu-Br = 2.514?(14) and Cu?Cu = 3.154?(6)?ÅÅ. The configuration of the nicotine ligands is that of the trans diastereomer. In addition, the crystal structure contains five intra-molecular C-H?Br hydrogen bonds, which determine (or support) the orientation of the nicotine mol-ecules relative to their three equatorial Br atoms. One of the nicotine mol-ecules has two C-H?Br contacts, while the other three nicotine mol-ecules show only one C-H?Br bond each. Two other inter-molecular C-H?Br hydrogen bonds connect the complex mol-ecules, forming ribbons which extend in the b- and c-axis directions.

The metal atoms display a distorted tetragonal-pyramidal coordination geometry, and are linked by two ?(2)- and two ?(3)-hydroxo groups, assuming a chair-like conformation for the Cu(4)O(2) core. In the crystal, the complex mol-ecules are linked into a three-dimensional network by inter-molecular O-H?O, O-H?Cl, C-H?O and C-H?Cl hydrogen bonds and ?-? stacking inter-actions with centroid-centroid separations of 3.724?(2) and 3.767?(3)?Å.

Two L ligands adopt a syn conformation, while the other two adopt an anti conformation. They bridge adjacent Ag(I) ions, forming a trinuclear complex. One of the PF(6) (-) anions is half-occupied, with the P atom located on a twofold rotation axis. The PF(6) (-) anions link the complex mol-ecules via Ag⋯F inter-actions [2.80 (2) and 2.85 (2) Å] into a polymeric chain along [100].
