Project description:The title compound, [RhCl(C(21)H(21)P)(2)(CO)]·C(3)H(6)O, was precipitated in trace yield from a reaction of RhCl(cod)(THP) with P(p-tol)(3) in a 1:1 acetone-d(6)/CD(3)OD solution under a hydrogen atmosphere [p-tol = p-tolyl, THP = tris-(hydroxy-meth-yl)phosphine, P(CH(2)OH)(3), and cod = 1,5-cyclo-octa-diene]. The complex displays a square-planar geometry around the Rh(I) atom. The complex mol-ecules and the acetone mol-ecules are linked into a chain along the a axis by inter-molecular C-H?Cl and C-H?O hydrogen bonds.

Project description:In the title compound, [RhCl(C(21)H(21)P)(2)(CO)], the coordination geometry around the Rh(I) atom is slightly distorted square-planar with the phosphane ligands in trans positions with respect to each other. The chloride and carbonyl ligands show positional disorder, and the Rh(I) atom lies on a center of inversion. The effective cone angle ?(E) for the title compound is 169.0?(3)°. There are no significant inter-molecular inter-actions.

Project description:The title compound, trans-[RhCl(C(18)H(12)Cl(3)P)(2)(CO)]·C(3)H(6)O, contains an Rh(I) atom in a distorted square-planar coordination with a P-Rh-P angle of 175.27?(2)° and Rh-P bond lengths of 2.3127?(4) and 2.3219?(4)?Å. The rhodium complexes link each other through weak inter-molecular contacts between the acetone methyl groups and the carbonyl O atom. Inter-actions between the acetone solvent mol-ecule and the Cl-Rh unit results in a reduced P-Rh-Cl angle of 86.675?(15)°.

Project description:In the title compound, trans-[RhCl(C(20)H(17)P)(2)(CO)], the Rh(I) atom is situated on a center of symmetry, resulting in a statistical 1:1 disorder of the chloride [Rh-Cl = 2.383?(2)?Å] and carbonyl [Rh-C = 1.752?(7)?Å] ligands. The distorted trans square-planar environment is completed by two P atoms [Rh-P = 2.3251?(4)?Å] from two diphen-yl(4-vinyl-phen-yl)phosphane ligands. The vinyl group is disordered over two sets of sites in a 0.668?(10):0.332?(10) ratio. The crystal packing exhibits weak C-H?Cl and C-H?O hydrogen bonds and ?-? inter-actions between the phenyl rings of neighbouring mol-ecules, with a centroid-centroid distance of 3.682?(2)?Å.

Project description:The title complex, [RhCl(C(21)H(21)O(3)P)(2)(CO)], is a rhodium analogue to Vaska's complex with para-meth-oxy substituents on the six phosphan-yl-aryl units. Two independent mol-ecules are present in the unit cell, with their metal atoms both located on an inversion centre. This causes the chloride and carbonyl ligands to exhibit a positional disorder in a 0.5:0.5 ratio. The two Rh(I) atoms exhibit a distorted square-planar geometry. There are a few weak intra-molecular C-H?X inter-actions (X = O, Cl). Inter-estingly, no significant inter-molecular inter-actions are found between the two independent mol-ecules.

The metal atom shows a distorted square-planar coordination environment with selected important geometrical parameters of Rh-P = 2.3237 (6) and 2.3253 (6) Å, Rh-Cl = 2.3724 (6) Å, Rh-C = 1.802 (2) Å, P-Rh-P = 173.42 (2)° and Cl-Rh-C = 179.13 (7)°. Effective cone angles for the two P atoms are 165 and 161°, respectively. Both isopropyl groups and the acetone mol-ecule are disordered with occupancy values of 0.523 (5):0.477 (5), 0.554 (8):0.446 (8) and 0.735 (4):0.265 (4), respectively. The crystal packing is stabilized by weak C-H⋯O and C-H⋯Cl contacts.

Project description:In the mononuclear title compound, [MoCl(3)(C(4)H(8)O)(C(14)H(15)P)(2)], obtained by the reaction of trichloro-tris-(tetra-hydro-furan)-molybdenum(III) and ethyl-diphenyl-phosphine in tetra-hydro-furan (THF) solution, the Mo(III) atom is six-coordinated by one O atom of a THF mol-ecule, two P atoms from two ethyl-diphenyl-phosphine ligands and three Cl atoms in a distorted octa-hedral geometry. The C atoms of the THF molecule are disordered over two positions in a 0.55?(2):0.45?(2) ratio.
