ABSTRACT: The mol-ecule of the title compound, [Cu(2)Mo(2)Br(2)(C(7)H(14)NS(2))(2)S(4)]·2C(3)H(7)OH, comprises one [(i-C(3)H(7))(2)NCS(2)](2)Mo(2)S(4) unit and two CuBr units held together by six Cu-μ(3)-S bonds, thus forming a cubane-like Mo(2)S(4)Cu(2) core. Intramolecular O-H⋯S hydrogen bonds may stabilize the structure. Two methyl groups of the two independent solvent molecules are disordered over two positions and were refined with occupancies of 0.733 (12) and 0.267 (12).

Project description:In the title compound, [Zn(2)(C(22)H(36)NS(2))(4)], two bidentate dithio-carbamate groups chelate directly to the Zn(II) atoms, whereas the two remaining dithio-carbamate ligands bridge the Zn atoms via a crystallographic inversion centre. The Zn atoms show a strongly distorted tetra-hedral geometry. Adding the long S⋯S distance with the inversion centre being in the middle, the resulting five-coordinate geometry around the Zn atoms can be considered to be between distorted recta-ngular pyramidal and trigonal bipyramidal, with a calculated τ value of 0.31. In this dimer complex, two inversion-related tetra-decyl carbon chains exhibit all-trans conformations, and the other two chains show a cis conformation at the end of the chains.

Project description:The title compound, [Sn(C(6)H(5))(3)(C(11)H(14)NS(2))], features a tetra-hedrally coordinated Sn atom, as the dithio-carbamate ligand coordinates in a monodentate fashion. Due to the proximity of the non-coordinating thione S atom, distortions from ideal tetra-hedral geometry about the metal atom are evident with the widest C-Sn-S angle being 117.26 (5)°. In the crystal, mol-ecules are linked by C-H⋯S inter-actions, which generate helical supra-molecular chains along the b axis.

Project description:The title compound, [Mo(2)(C(5)H(10)NS(2))(2)O(4)]·C(4)H(8)O, can be readily prepared in tetra-hydro-furan (THF) by an oxidation reaction between the Mo(IV) precursor [MoO(S(2)CNEt(2))(2)] with [ReMeO(3)]. The compound is an axially symmetric Mo(V) dimer (2 symmetry), in which the metal atoms exhibit a distorted square-pyramidal coordination environment. A THF mol-ecule was found to be equally disordered over two symmetry-related sites (around a twofold rotation axis), trans-coordinated to the apical oxido group and weakly inter-acting with the Mo(V) atoms [Mo-O = 2.6213 (19) Å]. In the crystal, some weak C-H⋯O inter-actions occur between the terminal oxido and neighbouring -CH(3) groups of an adjacent [Mo(μ-O)O(S(2)CNEt(2))](2) unit.

There are two independent cation-anion complex entities in the asymmetric unit. Bond distances are normal for this type of complex [ranges: Mo-S = 2.193?(2)-2.390?(2); Cu-S = 2.266?(2)-2.470?(2); Cu-C = 1.899?(7)-1.911?(9)?Å]. One of the thiol-ato C atoms is disordered over two sites in a 0.52?(3):0.48?(3) ratio.

Redetermination of tetra-kis(N,N-diethyl-dithio-carbamato)tin(IV).

Project description:The crystal structure of the title compound, [Sn(C(5)H(10)NS(2))(4)], was originally determined by Harreld & Schlemper [Acta Cryst. (1971), B27, 1964-1969] using intensity data estimated from Weissenberg films. In comparison with the previous refinement, the current redetermination reveals anisotropic displacement parameters for all non-H atoms, localization of the H atoms, and higher precision of lattice parameters and inter-atomic distances. The complex features a distorted S(6) octa-hedral coordination geometry for tin and a cis disposition of the monodentate dithio-carbamate ligands.

The coordination geometry is inter-mediate between square-pyramidal and trigonal-bipyramidal, with a leaning towards the latter. The presence of close intra-molecular C-H⋯S contacts preclude the S atoms from forming significant inter-molecular inter-actions. Rather, mol-ecules are consolid-ated in the crystal structure by C-H⋯π inter-actions.

Project description:The Sn atom in the title compound, [Sn(C(4)H(9))(2)(C(11)H(14)NS(2))(2)], exists in a tetra-hedral C(2)S(2)Sn coordination geometry. The geometry is distorted towards skew-trapezoidal-bipyramidal owing to the proximity of the double-bonded S atoms. The C(2)Sn angles range from 129.0 (2) to 136.9 (2)°, the covalent Sn-S lengths from 2.529 (1) to 2.544 (1) Å, and the dative Sn←S lengths from 2.831 (1) to 3.042 (1) Å in the five independent mol-ecules comprising the asymmetric unit. Two of the butyl groups were modelled over two positions of equal occupancy. All butyl groups were refined with distance restraints.
