ABSTRACT: The mol-ecule of the title compound, [Cu(2)Mo(2)Br(2)(C(7)H(14)NS(2))(2)S(4)]·2C(3)H(7)OH, comprises one [(i-C(3)H(7))(2)NCS(2)](2)Mo(2)S(4) unit and two CuBr units held together by six Cu-μ(3)-S bonds, thus forming a cubane-like Mo(2)S(4)Cu(2) core. Intramolecular O-H⋯S hydrogen bonds may stabilize the structure. Two methyl groups of the two independent solvent molecules are disordered over two positions and were refined with occupancies of 0.733 (12) and 0.267 (12).

Project description:The title compound, (C(8)H(20)N)(2)[Cu(2)Mo(2)(C(2)H(4)S(2))(2)(CN)(2)S(4)], is a sulfide-bridged tetranuclear complex in which the complex anion comprises one [(edt)(2)Mo(2)S(2)(?-S)(2)](2-) unit (edt = ethanedithiol-ate) and two CuCN units joined through six Cu-?(3)-S bonds, thus forming a cubane-like [Mo(2)S(4)Cu(2)] core. There are two independent cation-anion complex entities in the asymmetric unit. Bond distances are normal for this type of complex [ranges: Mo-S = 2.193?(2)-2.390?(2); Cu-S = 2.266?(2)-2.470?(2); Cu-C = 1.899?(7)-1.911?(9)?Å]. One of the thiol-ato C atoms is disordered over two sites in a 0.52?(3):0.48?(3) ratio.

Project description:In the title compound, [Cu(C(5)H(10)NO(2)S(2))(2)], the Cu(II) cation is chelated by two bis-(2-hydroxy-ethyl)dithio-carbamate anions with a distorted square-planar coordination geometry. Inter-molecular O-H⋯O hydrogen bonding is observed between the terminal hydr-oxy groups in the crystal structure.

Project description:The Sn atom in the title compound, [Sn(C(6)H(5))(3)(C(8)H(16)NS(2))], is penta-coordinated by two S atoms, derived from an asymmetrically coordinating dithio-carbamate ligand, and three ipso-C atoms. The coordination geometry is inter-mediate between square-pyramidal and trigonal-bipyramidal, with a leaning towards the latter. The presence of close intra-molecular C-H⋯S contacts preclude the S atoms from forming significant inter-molecular inter-actions. Rather, mol-ecules are consolid-ated in the crystal structure by C-H⋯π inter-actions.

Redetermination of tetra-kis(N,N-diethyl-dithio-carbamato)tin(IV).

Project description:The crystal structure of the title compound, [Sn(C(5)H(10)NS(2))(4)], was originally determined by Harreld & Schlemper [Acta Cryst. (1971), B27, 1964-1969] using intensity data estimated from Weissenberg films. In comparison with the previous refinement, the current redetermination reveals anisotropic displacement parameters for all non-H atoms, localization of the H atoms, and higher precision of lattice parameters and inter-atomic distances. The complex features a distorted S(6) octa-hedral coordination geometry for tin and a cis disposition of the monodentate dithio-carbamate ligands.

The mol-ecule lies across a twofold rotation axis. The crystal studied was a non-merohedral twin, the ratio of the twin components being 0.82 (1):0.18 (1).

The metal atom is chelated by two S,S'-bidentate dithio-carbamate anions and the N,N'-bidentate heterocycle, resulting in a distorted cis-ZnN(2)S(4) octa-hedral geometry. The methyl and ethyl groups of the anion are statistically disordered.

Project description:The molecule of the dinuclear title compound, [Tl(2)(C(9)H(10)NS(2))(6)], possesses a crystallographically imposed centre of symmetry. Each Tl(III) atom is seven-coordinated by S atoms of four different dithio-carbamate anions in a distorted penta-gonal-bipyramidal coordination geometry. The crystal structure is stabilized by a C-H⋯S hydrogen-bond inter-action linking complex mol-ecules into chains running parallel to the b axis. Intramolecular C-H⋯S hydrogen bonds are also present.

Project description:The title compound, [Sb(C(5)H(10)NS(2))(3)], was synthesized from Sb(2)O(3), diethyl-amine, carbon dis-ulfide, hydro-chloric acid and sodium hydroxide. The structure has been published previously but H atoms were not included in the model [Raston & White (1976 ?). Chem. Soc. Dalton Trans. p. 791]. The current determination has significantly higher precision than the original work. The complex has three ligands. The Sb atom is coordinated by three bidentate diethyl-dithio-carbamate groups, two in an almost planar fashion and the third perpendicular to that plane with a dihedral angle of 86.429?(13)°. One ethyl group is disordered over two positions of equal occupancy.

Project description:The cationic complex in the structure of the title compound, [Co(Et(2)NCS(2))(2)(C(12)H(8)N(2))]BF(4), has a Co(III) atom with a distorted octa-hedral coordination formed by four S atoms of two diethyl-dithio-carbamate and two N atoms of 1,10-phenanthroline ligands. The crystal structure features head-to-tail stacking of the phenanthroline ligands. The tetra-fluorido-borate anions are positioned in the channels between the cation stacks running along the a axis, and form weak C-H?F interactions.
