ABSTRACT: The title compound, [Mn(C(11)H(11)N(2)O(3))(2)(H(2)O)(2)], consists of discrete mononuclear complex mol-ecules. The Mn(II) atom is located on an inversion center and coordinated by two N atoms and two O atoms, each pair in a trans mode, from two 3-(2-hydroxy-ethyl)-2-methyl-4-oxopyrido[1,2-a]pyrimidin-9-olate ligands and by two water mol-ecules. The coordination geometry around the Mn(II) atom is slightly distorted octa-hedral. Mol-ecules are linked by O-H?O hydrogen bonds into a three-dimensional network.

Project description:The crystal structure of the title compound, [Zn(C(9)H(7)N(2)O(2))(2)(H(2)O)]·H(2)O, involves discrete mononuclear complex mol-ecules. The special positions on the rotation twofold axis are occupied by Zn(II) and O atoms of the coordinated and uncoordinated water mol-ecules. The coordination around the Zn(II) atom can be described as transitional from trigonal-bipyramidal to square-pyramidal. The two chelating 2-methyl-4-oxopyrido[1,2-a]pyrimidin-9-olate ligands and the coordin-ated water mol-ecule form the Zn coordination. O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds between the coordinated water mol-ecule and the ligand and between the uncoordinated water mol-ecule and the ligand dominate the crystal packing.

Project description:The title compound, [Cu(C(5)H(10)NO(3))(2)], was obtained unintentionally as the product of an attempted synthesis of a Cu/Cd mixed-metal mixed-anion complex using zerovalent copper, cadmium(II) oxide and two ammonium salts in the presence of 2-dimethyl-amino-ethanol in acetonitrile, in air. The mol-ecule is centrosymmetric with two monodeprotonated N-(2-hydroxy-ethyl)-N-methyl-glycines coordinated to the metal in a tridentate mode, giving a bicyclic chelate with two distorted five-membered rings. The Cu(II) ion possesses a distorted octa-hedral geometry, with the N and the O atoms from the carboxyl-ate groups in the equatorial plane. In the crystal structure, inter-molecular O-H⋯O hydrogen-bonding inter-actions from the alkoxide functions of the ligand through the inversion centre form columns of mol-ecules propagated along the a axis.

Project description:In the mononuclear title complex, [Mn(C(8)H(7)O(2))(2)(C(6)H(6)N(2)O)(2)(H(2)O)(2)], the Mn(II) ion is located on a crystallographic inversion center. The asymmetric unit contains one 4-methyl-benzoate anion, one nicotinamide (NA) ligand and one coordinated water mol-ecule. The four O atoms in the equatorial plane around the Mn(II) ion form a slightly distorted square-planar arrangement, while the slightly distorted octa-hedral coordination is completed by the two pyridine N atoms of the NA ligands in the axial positions. The dihedral angle between the carboxyl-ate group and the attached benzene ring is 9.01?(7)°, while the pyridine and benzene rings are oriented at a dihedral angle of 42.44?(5)°. In the crystal structure, inter-molecular O-H?O, N-H?O and C-H?O hydrogen bonds, and O-H?? and C-H?? inter-actions link the mol-ecules into a two-dimensional network parallel to (001).
