Poly[tris-(?(4)-5-amino-isophthalato)diaqua-dilanthanum(III)].

ABSTRACT: The title compound, [La(2)(C(8)H(5)NO(4))(3)(H(2)O)(2)](n), is a three-dimensional network coordination polymer in which each La(III) ion is nine-coordinated by eight carboxyl-ate O atoms from six 5-amino-isophthalate ligands and one O atom from a water mol-ecule. One organic ligand lies on a twofold rotation axis. O-H?O, O-H?N and N-H?O hydrogen bonds are observed in the crystal structure.

Project description:In the title coordination polymer, [La(2)(C(8)H(4)O(4))(3)(H(2)O)(2)](n), there are two independent La(III) atoms which are coordinated differently in slightly distorted penta-gonal-bipyramidal and slightly disorted bicapped trigonal-prismatic environments. The La(III) ions are bridged by ?(4)-isophthalate ligands, forming two-dimensional layers. In the crystal structure, these layers are connected by inter-molecular O-H?O hydrogen bonds into a three-dimensional network.

Project description:In the title complex, [Ce(2)(C(8)H(5)NO(4))(3)(H(2)O)(2)](n), each Ce ion is in nine-coordinated environment. Eight O atoms from six ligands participate in coordination, in addition to one O atom from a water mol-ecule. Both carboxyl-ate groups from the ligands chelate the Ce atoms, forming two four-membered rings. The 5-amino-isophthalate ligands also bridge the Ce centers, forming a two-dimensional network, and O-H?O and N-H?O hydrogen bonds complete the structure.

Project description:The asymmetric unit of the title coordination polymer, {[La(2)(C(8)H(4)O(4))(3)(H(2)O)]·0.5H(2)O}(n), contains two independent La(III) atoms, one of which is surrounded by eight carboxyl-ate-O atoms from six benzene-1,2-dicarboxyl-ate (BDC) anions in a bicapped trigonal-prismatic geometry. The other La(III) atom is nine-coordinated in a tricapped trigonal-prismatic geometry, formed by eight carboxyl-ate-O atoms from six BDC anions and a coordinated water mol-ecule. The BDC anions bridge the La(III) atoms, forming a two-dimensional polymeric complex parallel to (001). The crystal structure contains weak O-H?O and non-classical C-H?O hydrogen bonds. A C-H?? inter-action is also present in the crystal structure. The uncoordinated water molecule shows half-occupation.

Project description:The title compound, [Sm(2)(C(14)H(8)O(4))(3)(H(2)O)(2)](n), is composed of one-dimensional chains and is isostructural with previously reported compounds [Wang et al. (2003 ?). Eur. J. Inorg. Chem. pp. 1355-1360]. The asymmetric unit contains two Sm atoms, each of which lies on a crystallographic twofold axis. Both crystallographically independent Sm atoms are coordinated by eight O atoms in a distorted dodeca-hedral arrangement. The polymeric chains run along [001]. Adjacent chains are connected through ?-? inter-actions [centroid-centroid distance = 3.450?(2)?Å], forming a two-dimensional supra-molecular network.

Project description:In the title polymer, {[La(2)(C(4)H(4)O(6))(3)(H(2)O)(3)]·2H(2)O}(n), two symmetry-independent La(III) ions are nine-coordinated and display a distorted monocapped square-anti-prismatic geometry. One is coordinated by seven O atoms from four tartrate ligands and two water mol-ecules, the other by eight O atoms from five tartrate ligands and one water mol-ecule. The three tartrate ligands in the asymmetric unit act identically as ?(5)-ligands, which link lanthanum centres to form a three-dimensional coordination framework. An extensive network of hydrogen bonds is observed in the crystal structure, involving two uncoordinated water mol-ecules, one of which is disordered over two positions, with occupancies of 0.550?(13) and 0.450?(13).

Project description:In the title complex, {[Tb(C(6)H(5)NO(2))(3)(H(2)O)(2)](ClO(4))(3)·H(2)O}(n), the Tb(III) ion is coordinated by six O atoms from six isonicotinate (inic) ligands and two water mol-ecules, displaying a bicapped trigonal-prismatic geometry. The inic ligands, which are protonated at the pyridine N atom, link the metal centres, forming a polymeric chain running parallel to the a axis. The chains are further assembled via intra- and inter-molecular O-H?O and N-H?O hydrogen-bonding inter-actions into a three-dimensional supra-molecular network involving the inic ligands, the water mol-ecules and the perchlorate anions. One of the perchlorate ions is disordered over two sites with occupancies of 0.561?(17) and 0.439?(17).
