Poly[(μ(2)-azido-κN:N)[μ(2)-5-(8-quinolyloxymeth-yl)tetra-zolato-κN,O,N:N]manganese(II)].

ABSTRACT: In the structure of the title compound, [Mn(C(11)H(8)N(5)O)(N(3))](n), the Mn atoms are hexa-coordinated by five N atoms and one O atom. The coordination polyhedron of the Mn atom is a slightly distorted octa-hedron. The Mn atoms are connected by azide anions with a μ(2)-1,1 mode and by 5-(8-quinolyloxymeth-yl)tetra-zolate ligands in a μ(2)-η(1)(N),η(3)-(N,N,O) fashion to form a two-dimensional framework parallel to the (100) plane. Geometric parameters of the organic ligand are in the normal ranges and the dihedral angle between the quinoline ring system and the tetra-zole unit is 7.41 (15)°. The structure involves intra- and inter-molecular C-H⋯N hydrogen bonds.

The coordination geometry can be described as slightly distorted trigonal-bipyramidal. Adjacent Co atoms are connected by the bridging tetra-zole groups into a chain. Project description:The title complex, [Mn(C(7)H(6)N(5))(2)(H(2)O)(2)], was obtained by the in situ hydro-thermal reaction of MnCl(2) with 2-(2-pyrid-yl)acetonitrile in the presence of NaN(3). The Mn(II) atom, which is located on an inversion centre, has a distorted octa-hedral coordination geometry formed by two water mol-ecules and two chelating ligands. Inter-molecular hydrogen bonds and π-π inter-actions (3.452 Å) stabilize the crystal structure and lead to the formation of a three-dimensional network.

Project description:In the title complex, [Zn(C(5)H(9)N(4))(2)](n), the Zn(II) center is coordinated by four N atoms of different tetra-zolate ligands with a slightly distorted tetra-hedral geometry [Zn-N distances and N-Zn-N angles are in the ranges 1.991 (2)-2.007 (2) Å and 104.22 (8)-116.13 (8)°, respectively]. Each ligand links two Zn(II) atoms through its 1- and 4-position tetra-zole N atoms, forming a single, fully connected three-dimensional framework with a diamond-like topology. In the crystal structure, the Zn⋯Zn separations across each tetra-zole unit are 6.115 (2) and 6.134 (2) Å and the Zn⋯Zn⋯Zn angles are in the range 107.77 (8)-116.83 (8)°.

Project description:The polymeric title compound, [Zn(C(7)H(6)N(5))(2)](n), was synthesized by the hydro-thermal reaction of Zn(NO(3))(2) with 2-amino-benzonitrile in the presence of NaN(3). The zinc(II) metal centre displays a distorted octa-hedral coordination environment provided by N atoms of two bidentate chelating and two monodentate 5-(2-amino-phen-yl)tetra-zolate ligands. These ligands act as bridges, linking adjacent Zn atoms into polymeric criss-crossed chains parallel to the [110] and [10] directions. Intra-chain N-H⋯N hydrogen-bonding inter-actions are observed.

Project description:The title coordination polymer, [Zn(C(8)H(4)N(4)O(2))(H(2)O)](n), was prepared by the hydro-thermal reaction of zinc nitrate and 2-(1H-tetra-zol-5-yl)benzoic acid. Two types of coordinated zinc cations exist in the structure. One is tetra-hedrally coordinated by two O and two N from two ligands, the other is octa-hedrally coordinated by two N and two O from two ligands at equatorial sites and by two O atoms of water mol-ecules at axial sites, resulting in a two-dimensional framework. The crystal structure is stabilized by intra-molecular O-H⋯O and O-H⋯N hydrogen bonds.

Project description:In the title complex, [Zn(2)(C(7)H(3)N(5)O(2))(2)(H(2)O)(6)], the 5-(5-carboxyl-ato-3-pyrid-yl)tetra-zolate ligand chelates the Zn(II) center through one pyridyl N and one tetra-zolate N atom, and uses another N atom to bridge to the second Zn atom, forming a centrosymmetric dinuclear unit. Three coordinated water mol-ecules complete the distorted octa-hedral geometry of the Zn(II) atom. O-H⋯O and O-H⋯N hydrogen bonds involving the coordinated water mol-ecules, tetra-zolate N atoms and the carboxyl-ate group result in a three-dimensional structure.

Project description:The crystal structure of the title compound, [Ni(6)(C(13)H(10)NO(2))(4)(N(3))(8)(CH(3)OH)(8)]·6CH(3)OH, consists of a centrosymmetric hexa-nuclear [Ni(II) (6)(C(13)H(10)NO(2))(4)(N(3))(8)(CH(3)OH)(8)] mol-ecule and six methanol solvent mol-ecules. In the hexa-nuclear unit, the six octa-hedrally coordinated Ni(II) atoms are linked by four μ(1,1,1)-azide and four μ(1,1)-azide bridges, forming a face-sharing Ni(6)N(8) tetra-cubane-like unit with four missing corners. The Ni(II) atoms are further bridged by four μ(1,2)-carboxalate groups. Neighbouring hexa-nuclear units are connected via N-H⋯O hydrogen-bonding inter-actions into a three-dimensional structure. Although the H atoms of the methanol OH groups could not be located, O⋯N/O contacts between 2.65 and 2.86 Å suggest that these mol-ecules participate in hydrogen bonding.
