Hexakis(2-amino-pyridinium) di-?(6)-oxido-tetra-?(3)-oxido-tetra-deca-?(2)-oxido-octa-oxidodeca-vanadium(V) dihydrate.

ABSTRACT: In the title compound, (C(5)H(7)N(2))(6)[V(10)O(28)]·2H(2)O, the [V(10)O(28)](6-) anion is generated by crystallographic inversion symmetry and each of the five vanadium centres adopts a distorted VO(6) octa-hedral geometry. In the crystal structure, a network of N-H?O, N-H?(O,O) and O-H?O hydrogen bonds helps to establish the packing.
