Catena-Poly[[(nitrato-?O,O')silver(I)]-?(3)-4-pyridone-?O:O:O].

ABSTRACT: In the title complex, [Ag(NO(3))(C(5)H(5)NO)](n), the Ag(I) atom is coordinated by two O atoms from two different 4-pyridone ligands and two O atoms from one nitrate anion, displaying a nearly planar coordination geometry. The O atoms of two 4-pyridone ligands bridge two symmetrically related AgNO(3) units, forming a dimer, with an Ag?Ag separation of 3.680?(2)?Å. Neighbouring dimers are linked into an infinite chain through weak Ag?O inter-actions [2.765?(2)?Å], Ag?Ag inter-actions [3.1511?(4)?Å] and ?-? stacking inter-actions [centroid-centroid distance = 3.623?(4)?Å]. N-H?O and C-H?O hydrogen bonds assemble these chains into a three-dimensional network.

In the title complex, [Ag(NO(3))(C(5)H(5)NO)](n), the Ag(I) atom is coordinated by two O atoms from two different 4-pyridone ligands and two O atoms from one nitrate anion, displaying a nearly planar coordination geometry. Project description:The asymmetric unit of the polymeric title salt, {[Ag(C(5)H(5)NO)(2)]PF(6)}(n), comprises an Ag(I) cation (located on a twofold axis), two 2-pyridone ligands (with distinct coordination modes), and half a PF(6) (-) anion (situated on a centre of inversion). The Ag(I) atom is in an approximately octa-hedral AgO(6) coordination geometry, which is stabilized by intra-molecular N-H?O hydrogen bonds. The result of the bridging mode of the 2-pyridone ligand is the formation of a supra-molecular chain along the c axis; these are consolidated in the crystal by C-H?F inter-actions.

Project description:In the title chain compound, [Ag(NO(3))(C(26)H(24)P(2))](n), the bis-(diphenyl-phosphino)ethane (dppe) units link the Ag(+) ions into chains along [001]. A nitrate anion is coordinated to the Ag atom. There is a centre of symmetry at the mid-point of the ethane C-C bond and a twofold rotation axis passes through the Ag, N and terminal O atoms. Each Ag atom is four-coordinated in a distorted tetra-hedral geometry by two O atoms of the nitrate anion and two P atoms of dppe ligands. The two aromatic rings are oriented at a dihedral angle of 73.77 (3)°.

Project description:In the title compound, [Ag(NO(3))(C(18)H(14)N(4))](n), the Ag(I) atom is coordinated by two N atoms from two N,N'-bis-(3-pyridyl-methyl-idene)benzene-1,4-diamine (bpbd) mol-ecules and two O atoms from a bidentate nitrate anion. The bpbd mol-ecules bridge the Ag atoms into a chain. Two adjacent chains are further connected by Ag?Ag inter-actions [3.1631?(8)?Å], forming a double-chain structure. A ?-? inter-action [centroid-centroid distance = 3.758?(3)?Å] occurs between the double chains. Inter-chain C-H?O hydrogen bonds are observed.

Project description:In the crystal structure of the title compound, [Mn(NO(3))(2)(C(12)H(8)N(2))](n), the Mn(II) atoms are linked by nitrate ligands to form a chain. Each Mn(II) atom is five-coordinated by two N atoms of a 1,10-phenanthroline ligand and three O atoms of two nitrates within a trigonal-bipyramidal coordination geometry. In the crystal structure, the chains are linked by hydrogen bonds into a polymeric ribbon structure.

The central Dy atom in the cation is coordinated by eight O atoms from two nitrate and four hmp ligands, resulting in a distorted square-anti-prismatic environment. Together with the two nitrate ligands, the cation is monovalent, which leads to the anionic chain having an [AgMoS(4)] repeat unit. The polymeric anionic chain, with Mo-Ag-Mo and Ag-Mo-Ag angles of 161.911?(13) and 154.014?(13)°, respectively, presents a distorted linear configuration. The title complex is isostructural with the W analogue.

The asymmetric unit contains four crystallographically independent [Ce(hmp)(4)(NO(3))(2)](+) cations, which leads to a one-dimensional polymeric anionic chain having a tetra-valent [W(4)S(16)Ag(4)] repeat unit. Each central Ce atom is coordinated by eight O atoms from two chelating nitrate and four hmp ligands, which gives rise to a distorted square-anti-prismatic structure. The polymeric chain with average W-Ag-W and Ag-W-Ag bond angles of 163.75 and 151.84°, respectively, presents a distorted linear configuration. The title complex with a non-centrosymmetric structure, is analogous to the Yb, Y, Eu, Nd, La and Dy isomorphs, which exhibit centrosymmetric structures.

The cations and the anions are linked via weak C-H?S hydrogen-bonding inter-actions while the cations exhibit inter-molecular C-H?O inter-actions. The structure is isotypic with the corresponding W, Yb, Eu, Nd, La and Dy complexes.
