Project description:In the title compound, (C(10)H(9)N(2))[Fe(C(7)H(3)NO(4))(2)]·4H(2)O or (bpyH)[Fe(pydc)(2)]·4H(2)O, the asymmetric unit contains an [Fe(pydc)(2)](-) (pydcH(2)= pyridine-2,6-dicarboxylic acid) anion, a protonated 4,4'-bipyridine as a counter-ion, (bpyH)(+), and four uncoordinated water mol-ecules. The anion is a six-coordinate complex with a distorted octa-hedral geometry around the Fe(III )atom. A wide range of non-covalent inter-actions, i.e. O-H?O, O-H?N and N-H?O hydrogen bonds, ion pairing, C-O?? [3.431?(2)?Å] and C-H?? stacking inter-actions result in the formation of a three-dimensional network structure.

Project description:The title compound, (C(10)H(9)N(2))[Cr(C(7)H(3)NO(4))(2)]·4H(2)O or (4,4'-bipyH)[Cr(pydc)(2)]·4H(2)O (where 4,4'-bipy is 4,4'-bipyridine and pydcH(2) is pyridine-2,6-dicarboxylic acid), was synthesized by the reaction of chromium(III) chloride hexa-hydrate with pyridine-2,6-dicarboxylic acid and 4,4'-bipyridine in a 1:2:4 molar ratio in aqueous solution. This compound is composed of an anionic complex, [Cr(pydc)(2)](-), protonated 4,4'-bipyridine as a counter-ion, (4,4'-bipyH)(+), and four uncoordinated water mol-ecules. The anion is a six-coordinate complex with a distorted octa-hedral geometry around the Cr(III) atom, formed by two tridentate pyridine-2,6-dicarboxyl-ate, pydc(2-), groups. Inter-molecular O-H⋯O, N-H⋯O and C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds, and C-O⋯π stacking inter-actions (with distances of 3.3390 (13) and 3.4575 (13) Å) connect the various components into a supra-molecular structure.

Project description:The title compound, C(33)H(3)F(20)N(3)O(4), is a highly fluorinated organic imide that was isolated as an unexpected product from the reaction of 2,6-diamino-pyridine with 2,3,4,5,6-penta-fluoro-benzoyl chloride in a 1:2 molar ratio. The mol-ecule is located on a twofold axis and one of its symmetry-independent 2,3,4,5,6-penta-fluoro-benzoyl groups is disordered over two sets of sites, the occupancy of the major component being 0.773?(3). In the major component, the dihedral angle between the perfluoro-phenyl groups is 63.64?(10)°, and these groups form dihedral angles of 67.14?(7) and 21.1?(2)° with the pyridine core. Short inter-molecular C-H?O and C-H?N contacts are found in the crystal structure.

Project description:In the title mononuclear complex, [Pt(CH(3))Cl(C(45)H(41)N(3)P(2))], the pyridine-2,6-diamine ligand can be viewed as a centrosymmetric motif having two pendant N-benzyl-N-[(diphenyl-phosphan-yl)meth-yl] arms, the two P atoms of which chelate to the Pt(II) ion, forming a ten-membered metallocycle. A distorted square-planar coordination geometry around the Pt(II) atom is completed by a methyl ligand and a chloride ion. The packing between the mononuclear units is achieved through C-H?? inter-actions, which link the mol-ecules into chains along the c axis.
