ABSTRACT: In the title complex, [Sn(CH(3))(2)(C(14)H(11)N(3)O(3))], the Sn atom is in a distorted trigonal-bipyramidal coordination, with Sn-O distances of 2.138?(2) and 2.176?(2)?Å. The dihedral angles between the two chelated benzene rings and the O-Sn-N group are 71.73?(9) and 83.30?(9)°.

The bond distances for Sn-C, Sn-N and Sn-O are in the ranges 2.097 (3)-2.098 (3), 2.298 (2)-2.623 (2) and 2.157 (2)-2.266 (2) Å, respectively. The mol-ecular structure of the monomeric compound is stabilized by three intra-molecular C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds, all involving bipyridine C-H groups.
