Project description:The cation of the salt, [Mn(2)(C(14)H(14)N(4))(3)(H(2)O)(2)](ClO(4))(4), lies on a center of inversion, the center lying midway along the ethyl-ene chain of the bridging N,N'-bis-(2-pyridylmethyl-ene)ethane-1,2-diamine ligand. The Mn atom is chelated by two atoms N atoms of this bridging ligand, and is also coordinated by four N atoms of another ligand. The Mn atom is seven-coordinated in a penta-gonal-bipyramidal environment. The crystal structure displays inter-molecular π-π inter-actions between adjacent pyridine rings, with a shortest centroid-centroid distance of 3.784 (3) Å. The perchlorate is linked to the dinuclear cation by O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds.

Project description:There are two independent mol-ecules in the asymmetric unit of the title mol-ecule, C8H9N3S2, both of which exhibit an E conformation with the pyridine ring and di-thio-carbazate fragment located on opposite sides of the C=N bond. Project description:In the title compound, C(15)H(16)N(2)S(2), the central C(2)N(2)S(2) unit is essentially planar (r.m.s. deviation = 0.047 Å) and forms dihedral angles of 68.26 (4) and 65.99 (4)° with the phenyl and benzene rings, respectively, indicating a twisted mol-ecule. Supra-molecular chains with a step topology and propagating along [100] feature in the crystal packing, mediated through N-H⋯S hydrogen bonds. The chains are consolidated into a three-dimensional architecture by C-H⋯π inter-actions.
