The crystal structure is characterized by alternating cations and by Cl(-) anions, forming zigzag chains running along the a axis.

Project description:In the title complex salt, [Au2{(C6H5)2PCH2P(C6H5)2}]Cl2·(CH3)2C=O·H2O, the dication forms an eight-membered {-PCPAu}2 ring with a transannular aurophilic inter-action [Au⋯Au = 2.9743 (2) Å]. The ring approximates a flattened boat conformation, with the two methyl-ene C atoms lying ca 0.58-0.59 Å above the least-squares plane defined by the Au2P4 atoms (r.m.s. deviation = 0.0849 Å). One Cl(-) anion functions as a weak bridge between the Au(I) atoms [Au⋯Cl = 2.9492 (13) and 2.9776 (12) Å]. The second Cl(-) anion forms two (water)O-H⋯Cl hydrogen bonds about a centre of inversion, forming a centrosymmetric eight-membered {⋯HOH⋯Cl}2 supra-molecular square. Globally, the dications and loosely associated Cl(-) anions assemble into layers lying parallel to the ac plane, being connected by C-H⋯Cl,π(phen-yl) inter-actions. The supra-molecular squares and solvent acetone mol-ecules are sandwiched in the inter-layer region, being connected to the layers on either side by C-H⋯Cl,O(acetone) inter-actions.

Project description:The asymmetric unit of the title compound, 2C(5)H(8)N(3) (+)·2C(2)HO(4) (-)·H(2)O, contains two crystallographically independent 2,6-diamino-pyridinium cations, a pair of hydrogen oxalate anions and a water mol-ecule. Both 2,6-diamino-pyridinium cations are planar, with maximum deviations of 0.011 (2) and 0.015 (1) Å, and are protonated at the pyridine N atoms. The hydrogen oxalate anions adopt twisted conformations and the dihedral angles between the planes of their carboxyl groups are 31.01 (11) and 63.48 (11)°. In the crystal, the cations, anions and water mol-ecules are linked via O-H⋯O and N-H⋯O hydrogen bonds, forming a three-dimensional network.

In the crystal, a network of O-H?O, N-H?O and C-H?O hydrogen bonds involving the cations, anions and water mol-ecules results in a three-dimensional network.

Project description:In the title dinuclear nickel(II) complex, [Ni(2)(C(8)H(4)FO(3))(2)(H(2)O)(4)]Cl(2), synthesized by the reaction between 4-fluoro-2,6-diformyl-phenol and nickel(II) chloride in methanol, the coordination cation is located on an inversion center and the Ni(II) atom adopts a slightly distorted octa-hedral coordination geometry. The two Ni atoms are bridged by two phenolate O atoms and the intra-molecular Ni?Ni distance is 3.0751?(9)?Å. The crystal structure is stabilized by O-H?Cl hydrogen bonds.

Project description:In the dimeric title complex, [Ag(2)(C(16)H(8)O(8))(C(12)H(8)N(2))(2)] or [Ag(2)(H(2)bta)(phen)(2)] (H(4)bta = biphenyl-2,2',6,6'-tetra-carb-ox-y-lic acid, phen = 1,10-phenanthroline), each Ag(I) ion displays an approximatively planar-trigonal geometry, being surrounded by one chelating phen ligand and one carboxyl-ate O atom from an H(2)bta ligand. Owing to the the presence of crystallographic twofold rotation axes, the four C atoms bisecting the H~2~bta ligand are located on a special position. Each H(2)bta ligand acts as a bis-monodentate ligand, ligating two Ag(I) ions into a dimeric compound. Inter-molecular O-H⋯O inter-actions are observed in the crystal structure.

Project description:In the title compound, [Mg(H(2)O)(6)](C(7)H(4)NO(4))(2), a single six-coordinate Mg(2+) cation (site symmetry 2/m) is bonded to six water mol-ecules in a distorted octa-hedral geometry. The crystal packing between the complex cation and the zwitterionic organic cation (m symmetry) is stabilized by inter-molecular O-H?O hydrogen bonds and weak inter-molecular C-H?O inter-actions.

The asymmetric unit consists of two crystallographically independent 2,6-diamino-pyridinium cations, a hydrogen phthalate anion, a nitrate ion and a water mol-ecule of crystallization which in the crystal structure are linked by inter-molecular O-H?O and N-H?O hydrogen bonds into a three-dimensional network. In the hydrogen phthalate anion, there is a very strong intra-molecular O-H?O hydrogen bond.

Project description:The asymmetric unit of the title compound, (C(7)H(10)N)(2)[PtCl(6)], contains one independent protonated 2,6-dimethyl-pyridinium cation and half of a centrosymmetric [PtCl(6)](2-) anion. The Pt atom has an octa-hedral coordination. In the crystal structure, inter-molecular N-H⋯Cl and C-H⋯Cl hydrogen bonds result in the formation of a supra-molecular structure. There is a π-π contact between the pyridine rings [centroid-centroid distance = 4.235 (1) Å].
