{1,3-Bis[(diphenyl-phosphanyl-?P)-oxy]prop-2-yl-?C}iodido(trimethyl-phosphane)cobalt(II).

ABSTRACT: The title compound, [Co(C(27)H(25)O(2)P(2))I(C(3)H(9)P)], was synthesized by the addition of 1-iodo-butane to a solution of the parent cobalt complex {1,3-bis-[(diphenyl-phosphan-yl)-oxy]prop-2-yl}bis-(trimethyl-phosphane)cobalt(II). Two five-membered cobaltocycles with considerable ring bending (sum of inter-nal angles = 516.4 and 517.7°) are formed through two P atoms of the PPh(2) groups and a metallated Csp(3) atom. The Co(II) atom is centered in a trigonal-bipyramidal configuration.

Project description:The title compound, [Co(C(30)H(23)O(2)P(2))(C(3)H(9)P)(2)], was synthesized by the addition of a Co(PMe(3))(4) solution to (PPh(2)O)(2)C(6)H(4). The Co(I) atom displays a trigonal-bipyramidal geometry with the two P atoms of the 'PCP' pincer ligand and the P atom of one of the trimethyl phosphine ligands forming the basal plane, whereas the metalated C atom and the P atom of the second phospine ligand occupy the apical sites. The Co-C distance is 1.961?(2)?Å and the C-Co-P angle is 171.96?(6)°.

Project description:The title tetra-nuclear complex, [Au(4)(C(25)H(21)P(2))Cl(3)(C(25)H(22)P(2))]·2C(4)H(8)O, features two non-equivalent Ph(2)PCPPh(2) fragments, one of which represents the 'complete' mol-ecule (with two H atoms at the central C atom); each of the two P atoms of this mol-ecule is coordinated by an Au atom [Au-P = 2.2256?(13) and 2.2710?(13)?Å], and these two Au atoms form an Au-Au bond [3.2945?(3)?Å], thus closing the five-membered Au(2)P(2)C ring. The first of these Au atoms has a terminal chlorido ligand [Au-Cl = 2.2806?(12)?Å], whereas the second Au atom forms a covalent bond with the central C atom of the bis-(diphenyl-phosphino)methyl group [Au-C = 2.114?(5)?Å]; the latter group in turn coordinates with its P atoms the gold atoms of the Cl-Au-Au-Cl group [Au-P = 2.2356?(13) and 2.2338?(13), Au-Au = 3.3177?(3), Au-Cl = 2.3091?(12) and 2.2950?(13)?Å], thus closing the second Au(2)P(2)C ring. The two such rings have different chemical functions, but both exhibit envelope conformations. However, the first (with different substituents at the Au atoms) is non-symmetrical with one of the P atoms in the flap position of the envelope; the other one has a conformation with mirror symmetry, and the gold-substituted C atom is displaced by 0.740?(5)?Å from the almost exactly planar (r.m.s. deviation = 0.0038?Å) Au(2)P(2) group.

Project description:The title compound, [Fe(C(4)H(2)N(2)S(2))(C(3)H(9)P)(2)(CO)(2)], was obtained as a mononuclear by-product during the treatment of [Fe(2)(?-S(2)C(4)N(2)H(2))(CO)(6)] in excess trimethyl-phosphane. The Fe atom is six-coordinated by two thiol-ate S atoms, two phosphane P atoms and two carbonyl C atoms in a distorted octa-hedral geometry. The average Fe-C(O) distance (1.771?Å) is relatively shorter than that of its parent hexa-carbonyl-diiron compound, and differs by 0.511?Å from the average Fe-P(Me)(3) distance. The five-membered FeC(2)S(2) chelate ring plane is close to being perpendicular to the P/Fe/P plane [86.5?(2)°].

Project description:In the title compound, C(27)H(25)NP(2), the diphenyl-phosphino groups are staggered relative to the PNP backbone. The dihedral angles between the phenyl rings bonded to each P atom are 51.74?(5) and 68.23?(4)°. The coordination around the N atom deviates from trigonal-pyrimidal geometry towards an almost planar arrangement between the N atom and the adjacent P and C atoms; the distance between the N atom and the plane formed by the adjacent C/P/P atoms is 0.098?(2)?Å.

Project description:There are two independent mol-ecules with similar configurations in the asymmetric unit of the title complex, [Pd(C(4)H(3)N(2))I(C(18)H(15)P)(2)]. In each mol-ecule, the geometry around the Pd atom is distorted square-planar, with the Pd atom displaced by 0.0549?(12) and 0.0734?(13)?Å from the least-squares plane of the I-P-P-C atoms. The PPh(3) ligands are in trans positions, with P-Pd-P angles of 173.12?(4) and 170.29?(4)°, while the pyrazinyl ligands and I atoms, also trans to each other, form C-Pd-I angles of 179.38?(12) and 178.44?(12)°. In the crystal, C-H?? inter-actions occur, resulting in a three-dimensional supramolecular architecture.

Intra-molecular N-H?O and C-H?O hydrogen bonds occur. In the crystal, N-H?O and C-H?O hydrogen bonds forming a three-dimensional network.

Project description:In the mononuclear title compound, trans-[PtCl2(C19H17P)2], the slightly distorted square-planar coordination sphere of the Pt(II) atom is occupied by two benzyl-diphenyl-phosphane ligands and two chloride atoms in a mutually trans geometry. The effective cone angles for the two phosphane ligands are 160 and 169°. C-H?Cl inter-actions generate infinite long chains along [01-1]. Additional C-H?? and ?-? stacking interactions [centroid-centroid distance = 4.2499?(15)?Å and ring slippage = 2.386?Å] are observed.
