Bis(dimethyl sulfoxide)-hydridobis(triphenyl-phosphane)cobalt(I).

ABSTRACT: The title compound, [CoH(C(18)H(15)P)(2)(C(2)H(6)OS)(2)], was synthesized by the reaction of chloridotris(triphenyl-phosphane)cobalt(I), [ClCo(PPh(3))(3)], in the presence of one equivalent potassium hydridotris(pyrazol-yl)borate in dimethyl sulfoxide. The structure displays a distorted trigonal-pyramidally coordinated cobalt(I) atom, with two phosphane ligands and one DMSO ligand in the equatorial plane. The coordination is completed by one further DMSO ligand and the anionic hydride in the axial positions.

Project description:The title complex, [Co(C(7)H(4)NO(3)S)(2)(C(2)H(6)OS)(2)(H(2)O)(2)], contains a Co(2+) cation in an octa-hedral coordination environment. The metal atom is surrounded by two different neutral ligands, namely dimethyl-sulfoxide (DMSO) and water, each coordinating through the O atom. The anionic saccharinate (sac; 1,1,3-trioxo-2,3-dihydro-1?(6),2-benzothia-zol-2-ide) ligand coordinates through the N atom. Each of the three similar ligand pairs is in a trans configuration with respect to each other. The Co atom lies on a crystallographic center of symmetry and the octa-hedral geometry is not significantly distorted. A short O-H?O hydrogen bond is present between a water H atom and the ketone O atom; two longer hydrogen bonds (intra- and inter-molecular) are also present between a water H and a sulfonic O atom, forming a supramolecular assembly through head-to-tail aggregation between adjacent complexes.

Project description:The title complex, [Pd(C(2)H(2)N(3)S(2))(2)(C(18)H(15)P)(2)]·2C(2)H(6)OS·0.5H(2)O, was obtained from the reaction of trans-[(Ph(3)P)(2)PdCl(2)] with 5-amino-1,3,4-thia-diazole-2-thione (SSNH(2)) in a 2:1 molar ratio. The Pd(II) atom, located in a crystallographic center of symmetry, has a square-planar geometry with two triphenyl-phosphine P-coordinated mol-ecules and two SSNH(2) ligands with the S atoms in a trans conformation. The latter ligand exhibits N-H?N hydrogen-bonding contacts formed by the amino group with the thia-diazole ring, generating a chain along the c axis. The asymmetric unit contains one half of the complex mol-ecule along with disordered dimethyl sulfoxide and water mol-ecules.

Project description:In the title compound, [Sn(C(6)H(5))(3)Cl(C(2)H(6)OS)], the Sn(IV) atom is coordinated by three phenyl groups, a chloride ion and a dimethyl sulfoxide mol-ecule in a distorted trigonal-bipyramidal geometry. In the crystal, adjacent mol-ecules are linked through inter-molecular C-H⋯Cl hydrogen bonds, weak C-H⋯π inter-actions and π-π inter-actions [centroid-centroid distance = 3.934 (3) Å. Project description:The title compound, [Co(C(5)H(5))(C(18)H(15)P)(2)]·0.2C(7)H(8)·0.25C(6)H(14), was synthesized by the reaction of cobaltocene, Cp(2)Co, with elemental lithium in tetra-hydro-furan in the presence of two equivalents of PPh(3). The mol-ecular structure displays a cobalt(I) center in a distorted trigonal-planar coordination environment, with one Cp and two phosphane ligands. There are two crystallographically independent mol-ecules in the asymmetric unit besides the disordered solvent molecules.

Project description:The centrosymmetric dinuclear title compound, [Cu2I2(C2H6OS)2(C18H15P)2], represents the first example of a CuI complex ligated by an O-bound dimethyl sulfoxide ligand. In the crystal, the two tetrahedrally coordinated Cu(I) atoms are bridged by two ?2-iodido ligands in an almost symmetrical rhomboid geometry. The loose Cu?Cu contact of 2.9874?(8)?Å is longer than the sum of the van der Waals radii of two Cu atoms (2.8?Å), excluding a significant cupriophilic inter-action in the actual dimer. C-H?O and C-H?I hydrogen bonding interactions as well as C-H??(aryl) interactions stabilize the three-dimensional supramolecular network.
