ABSTRACT: In the title complex, [CuCl(C(3)H(4)N(2))(C(18)H(15)P)(2)], the coordination geometry around Cu(I) is distorted tetra-hedral formed by two triphenyl-phosphane ligands, an imidazole ligand and a chloride group. An intra-molecular C-H?Cl inter-action occurs. The crystal packing is stabilized by inter-molecular N-H?Cl hydrogen bonds, which form an extended chain parallel to [010].

Project description:In the title solvate, [CuCl(C2H3N3S)(C18H15P)2]·CH3CN, the Cu(I) ion is bonded to two triphenyl-phosphane ligands, one 1H-1,2,4-triazole-5(4H)-thione ligand via its S atom and one chloride ion in a distorted CuP2SCl tetra-hedron. An intra-molecular N-H?Cl hydrogen bond, which closes an S(6) ring, helps to establish the conformation of the complex. Project description:The asymmetric unit of the crystal structure of the title compound, [Cd(2)Cl(4)(C(5)H(8)N(2))(3)](n), contains two Cd(II) cations, three 1-ethyl-1H-imidazole ligands, and four Cl(-) anions. The two Cd(II) atoms have quite different coordination environments: one is octa-hedrally coordinated by four Cl atoms and two N atoms from two 1-ethyl-1H-imidazole ligands, and the second is in a severely distorted fivefold coordination by four Cl atoms and one N atom from a 1-ethyl-1H-imidazole ligand. Adjacent Cd(II) cations are inter-connected alternately by pairs of chloride bridges, generating an infinite step-like chain along the a axis. One ethyl group of the 1-ethyl-1H-imidazole ligand is disordered over two sets of sites with a 0.668?(13):0.332?(13) site-occupancy ratio.

A crystallographic inversion centre generates a Cu(2)I(2) diamond with a Cu-Cu separation of 3.0120?(5)?Å. The complete N,N'-(1-pyridin-4-yl-ethethyl-idene)-hydrazine mol-ecule is also generated by inversion symmetry, and this bridging ligand leads to [011] polymeric chains in the crystal structure.

Project description:The mol-ecular structure of the title compound, [CuCl(C7H12N2S)2], shows a slightly distorted trigonal-planar coordination geometry of the Cu atom. The Cu-Cl bond measures 2.2287?(9)?Å, and the two Cu-S bonds are significantly different from each other, with values of 2.2270?(10) and 2.2662?(10)?Å. Also, the S-Cu-Cl angles differ, with values of 113.80?(4) and 124.42?(4)°, while the S-Cu-S angle is 121.51?(4)°. The two imidazole rings are almost parallel, making a dihedral angle of 2.1?(2)°. In the crystal, the shortest C-H?Cl interactions stabilize a three-dimensional network with molecules linked into centrosymmetric dimers that are stacked along the b-axis direction.

The Cu⋯Cu distance is 2.8293 (12) Å, implying a weak Cu⋯Cu inter-action.
