ABSTRACT: In the title coordination polymer, [Na(2)(C(4)H(3)N(2)O(2)S)Cl(H(2)O)(2)](n), the Na(I) ion lies on a twofold rotation axis and the chloride anion on an inversion center. The Na(I) ion is six-coordinated by two O atoms from two zwitterionic 2-mercaptopyrimidine-4,6-diolate ligands (mm2 symmetry), two water O atoms (m symmetry) and two Cl atoms in a distorted octa-hedral geometry. Adjacent Na(I) ions are bridged by an olate group, a water mol-ecule and a chloride anion into a three-dimensional network. The crystal structure is further stabil-ized by N-H?Cl, O-H?O and O-H?S hydrogen bonds.

Project description:The asymmetric unit of the title compound, {(C(4)H(7)N(2))[CdCl(3)(H(2)O)]}(n), contains one 1-methyl-1H-imidazol-3-ium cation, one Cd(II) atom, three Cl atoms and one water mol-ecule. Adjacent Cd ions are inter-connected alternately by paired Cl(-) bridges to generate an infinite one-dimensional coordination chain along the b axis. Project description:A copper(II) complex of the non-symmetric bidentate ligand 2-{[6-(di-methyl-amino)-pyrimidin-4-yl]sulfan-yl}pyrimidine-4,6-di-amine (L1) is reported. The single-crystal X-ray structure of aqua-[aqua/chlorido-(0.49/0.51)](2-{[6-(di-methyl-amino)-pyrimidin-4-yl]sulfan-yl}pyrimidine-4,6-di-amine)-copper(II) 0.49-chloride 1.51-hydrate, [CuCl1.51(C10H13N7S)(H2O)1.49]Cl0.49·1.51H2O or [(L1)Cl1.51(H2O)1.49Cu]0.49Cl·1.51H2O, exhibits distorted square-pyramidal geometry around the metal centre, with disorder in the axial position, occupied by chloride or water. The six-membered metal-chelate ring is in a boat conformation, and short inter-molecular S⋯S inter-actions are observed. In addition to its capacity for bidentate metal coordination, the ligand has the ability to engage in further supra-molecular inter-actions as both a hydrogen-bond donor and acceptor, and multiple inter-actions with lattice solvent water mol-ecules are present in the reported structure.

Project description:The title compound, [CdNa2(C8H4O4)2(C3H7NO)(H2O)2] n or [CdNa2(1,3-bdc)2(DMF)(H2O)2] n , is a new CdII-NaI heterobimetallic coordination polymer. The asymmetric unit consists of one CdII atom, two NaI atoms, two 1,3-bdc ligands, two coordinated water mol-ecules and one coordinated DMF mol-ecule. The CdII atom exhibits a seven-coordinate geometry, while the NaI atoms can be considered to be penta-coordinate. The metal ions and their symmetry-related equivalents are connected via chelating-bridging carboxyl-ate groups of the 1,3-bdc ligands to generate a three-dimensional framework. In the crystal, there are classical O-H?O hydrogen bonds involving the coordinated water mol-ecules and the 1,3-bdc carboxyl-ate groups and ?-? stacking between the benzene rings of the 1,3-bdc ligands present within the frameworks.

Project description:In the crystal structure of the title compound, [Cu(C(2)H(3)O(3))Cl(H(2)O)](n), the Cu(II) ion is five-coordinate in a distorted square-pyramidal geometry. Project description:The asymmetric unit of the polymeric title compound, {(C21H19N2)[HgCl3]} n , comprises one-half of the cationic mol-ecule, the other half being generated by application of twofold rotation symmetry, one Hg and two Cl atoms. The Hg(II) atom, lying on a twofold rotation axis, exhibits a distorted triangular coordination environment and is surrounded by three Cl atoms with Hg-Cl distances in the range 2.359?(2)-2.4754?(13)?Å. Two additional longer distances [Hg?Cl = 3.104?(14)?Å] lead to the formation of polymeric [HgCl1/1Cl4/2](-) chains extending along [001]. The crystal packing can be described by cationic layers alternating parallel to (-110) with the anionic chains located between the layers. The packing is consolidated by ?-? stacking inter-actions between the benzene rings of the central benzimidazole entities, with centroid-to-centroid distances of 3.643?(3)?Å.
